Sting & Shaggy duet? Well, that one was quite a surprise, but the ending results were surprisingly interesting. The same can be said for another weird collaboration, i.e. Ingo Appelt worked with Aquagen. The former is a German comedian, the latter is an electronic music group from the same country in the vein of U96. While this could have been like something for Comic Relief, Appelt and Aquagen did not have such a proposition on their minds. No, they played the whole thing straight, though I must admit Appelt's voice has a whiff of parody, because his wannabe stentorian vocals sound like they could burst out laughing any moment now. Of course, maybe that's why the piece works, since the whole thing becomes hilarious without giving us a reason to laugh.
