     The beach was a perfect place to sit and meditate. Between the clear blue skies above and the ocean that mirrored them below, the drone of people chattering and laughing, and the sun beating down, it offered a different perspective. 

     Or, it would have, if Zenyatta hadn’t found himself entirely transfixed on a single figure out amidst the waves. A shock of pink and blue that made him think of cotton candy, twisting and cutting through the waves with equal power and grace. 

     When the stranger finally came back up onto the beach with board in hand, Zenyatta decided to approach them, stopping at a respectful distance and clasping his hands together in admiration.

     “What you were doing out there was truly stunning! How do you do it? What was it?”

It was a nice reprieve, if nothing else.

The sunny beaches of L.A. had appealed to him greatly when he had first visited as an agent of Blackwatch, and the beautiful waters and hot sand still held his appreciation even in the present. He hadn’t traveled all the way to California for a vacation, though; there were other matters at hand his attention was currently dedicated to.

Like getting out of the damn train station, for starters. It’d been more crowded than he initially expected, but that made it all the easier for him to slip off the top of the hypertrain and out into the open unnoticed.

Well, mostly unnoticed. It was difficult to miss a head of blue hair with eyes glued right on him.

Could be trouble. He tipped his hat politely anyway.

He hadn’t talked to her much in the course of time at Overwatch. New recruits weren’t the biggest on his mind. Perhaps that was unfair, considering many of them were promising.Right now, he was more focused on keeping out of sight. Unfortunately, this did become an issue when he needed to leave wherever he’d been hiding.
