"Poppy!" Aryn cried when she saw the other woman, running over to her and helping her up. "Are you alright? They didn't hurt you, did they?"

Poppy held her head, the world around her spinning from the endeavor she'd just gone through. At the sound of a familiar voice she forced herself to focus, gripping tightly to the arms that helped her up. "A-Aryn?" she said, small tears forming at the corners of her eyes. "I'm... dizzy, but I think I'll be okay."

She looked Aryn over, asking, "Are you okay? How long have you been in here? And... where are we?"

"You wished to see me, My Diamond?" The technician asked, saluting.

She hadn’t been sure in the past, but history had showed tp her that both change and experimentation arenecessary in order to preserve power and domination. 

At least, that was the excuse she gave to her.

“Aquamarine.” She just nodded as the technician entered. The Diamond rested her chin in one of her hands. “You are my most reliable technician, you surely are aware of that by now. That is why I have a special order for you.”

"Mom!" Aqua cried, bursting into the room. "I need to tell you something!"

Quartz jumped when the door was thrown open, dropping the apple she’d had in her hand onto the counter. “Aqua!” she cried, turning to face her. “You’re – this is sudden, what is it you have to tell me?”

She didn’t seem upset, more confused than anything. Normally she got a call ahead or something similar, but this seemed quite important, so she could understand why. So she simply waited, breath partially held.

"Oh, hello Spinel." Aqua said as she pushed her Pearl away from herself and standing up. "How are you- are you alright?"

    Spinel blushed intensely, then tried to smile, “...Y-yes, I am alright.”

After Hours

@aquatherock It had been one month since Obsidian survived his near death by a grenade. It was his first day back and to celebrate his return he came inside the usual bar they go to for a drink.

Pearl still wasn’t used to this. She was actually around her gemlings (all grown up), and her previous owner (now tentative ally). She bumped into them sometimes, could talk with the ones who weren’t her Pearl daughter, even had a few missions.

She didn’t think she’d ever get used to it. Even on days like this, where everyone was at (crowding) the temple, and she was smushed between Aqua and Teal, waiting for her turn in their two deck card game. She thought she heard her name from beside her, looking up at Aqua and saying, “Hmm?”
