learn more about Fox’s past
10. Is your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?
Street smart, yes and no. Fox is deliberately rather careless to an onlooker, crossing a road at stupid times but knowing fine well he’s going to get across because he can sense the car’s positioning and time it well. even on the busiest of roads, Fox tends to cross without a second thought, finding no sense of danger in it. He does survive, so you have to give him credit.
Book smart? He can’t read. Intelligent, in some ways. He doesn’t understand a lot of things that others can from simple observation, so he can be described as pretty stupid at the best of times. However, in battle it is evident that the boy has plenty of knowledge, and is able to very carefully locate and time accurately, and is able to predict an opponents moves with ease. His memory is also very good, and can recall facts that he picks up just from listening to a conversation.
14. Were they involved at school? Sports? Clubs? Debate? Were they unconnected?
When he was younger, Fox was in a music club. He’d get along wonderfully with his fellow members and absolutely loved singing… He still does.
It was his entire dream, to sing. To perfect his voice and cheer on as many as he could and be a part of something bigger, but in the end, it wasn’t what his mother wanted. All of his dreams crushed soon after in the events that led to him losing his voice. He cannot even hum now without seeing her glaring eyes and the pain that came with them…
Other than that, he enjoys football but he’s awful at it.
25. What are their hobbies and interests?
Like previously stated, Fox had always wanted to sing, maybe be in a band. When that failed, Fox turned to becoming a hunter because he wanted to become stronger. But the thing that really calms him down, is listening to music. It’s quite often his only relief from reality, and lets him remind himself of his childhood innocence, as over the top as that sounds. It’s simply peaceful to him.
Other than that, he doesn’t tend to do much else besides training, and in all honesty, he has no ideas what to do with himself half the time. He’s become reliant on his team-mates support and ideas to keep himself occupied the entire time.
