The listening experience improves with understanding time signatures

Looked at time signatures after reading that article (i posted it a few posts ago). The article from medium digest i received about phil Spector and joe meek. Anyhow the journalist, expert of music history in a way, mentions the song by the Aquatones called "you" or what their big hit was. It all comes back to time signatures because its mentioned the song is written in 6/8 time. I looked up what time signatures do and its given me appreciation. Each and every musician , singer or instrument has a different way of emphasizing or not or just phrasing I think its called, making the simple blueprint "time signature" with their own style.
