@nachalah @simper-fi @littleblondesim @eulaliasims Thank you everybody!! I’m really glad you all enjoy the obsessive and probably unhealthy level of time and effort I put into these dang fake houses, while my own floors go un-mopped. LOL! But seriously, thank you <3

This house is sweet! I love the use of those windows framing the fireplace, and the floorplan looks like it flows really well. Just, like, the kitchen and its doorways are in the perfect spot. (Bit of a weird compliment maybe, but there you go. :D)

@eulaliasims Hahah it is an odd compliment I suppose, but oddly specific too and I appreciate that! Its funny cause that wall with those archways was the wall I had added, when the previous family was living there it was all completely open, but I wanted it just a little more closed off this time. I also really prefer it now with the black windows and doors, before they were white. But I think this works better.

I know that closet is just "wasted space" but it looks so good that I want to make one in every house now.

@littleblondesim I don’t always, but sometimes there’s just leftover space that can only really work for a walk in closet and they are kind of fun to make! I always tend to put some kind of pouf/bench type thing in the middle of them, often it’s that exact one in various colours haha!

Download the mod! I'm really into genetics/heredity so I love to see how genes unfold from one generation to another. Adopting kinda ruins it (no offense to adoptees/adopters)

I am sooo into that genetic nerdery too! Which is why I’m leaning to that option. Although the idea of adopting to introduce some totally new genetics also appeals to me. I’ve actually NEVER adopted in TS2 so it would also be a first for me. Maybe they’ll do both - adopt one, and give birth to one. How do those mods work though? How does the game decide who carries the pregnancy? And in the case of a gay male couple, does the one carrying look physically pregnant as in an alien pregnancy?

I've been meaning to ask... How many families/households do you have in your game and how long have you been playing this particular hood?

Hahhah hooooo boy.... this neighbourhood has somewhere in the range of 45-50 households, and I’ve been playing it since probably around 2008? I used to post in a Livejournal, and my first posts were in April 2009 featuring Sims I still play today. Some of my first Sims created in this hood are still alive and kicking because I have taken hiatuses over the years, and because there’s so many it takes a long time to play through them all. Lots of my Sims are children and grandchildren of those originals. I’ve played them so long they’re like my real kids LOL - this is why I’m pretty consistent about backing up my game. When I bought a new machine a little over a year ago, I migrated my entire game over to it rather than start over. I will not stop until and unless this neighbourhood corrupts!

Thank you! I keep a little list on my phone of names I like, I add to it as I come across them day to day, and erase them as they get used to avoid duplicates. Then when a baby is born I don’t have any “oh crap” moments where I don’t know what to name them!

Haha, my game is full of asshole sims too. It makes the rare nice sims really fun to play, just for the sheer novelty. :P

Hahah it is fun! It just amazes me how I have so many with 1 nice point, as opposed to even 2 or 3. It’s rampant! It does kind of give them character though. I like to think of them as “spunky”. LOL

I read on a forum thread that the reason there are so many mean Sims is because Grouchy/Nice is the last trait on the list, and personality points get assigned from the top down. So if a lot of points get assigned to Neat/Sloppy, Active/Lazy, and so on, there just won’t be as many points left to add to Nice!

That could make sense? Patrick is this weird anomaly though,I feel like he has more personality points overall than any Sim has a right to, including niceness! Take a look what I mean, I posted his points here! He’s just got sooo many it seems like! He’s a little light on outgoing points but heavy on so much else!

Yep that's a low nice point thing. One of the reasons they're so fun. :P

They do some pretty hilarious stuff. I also enjoy seeing them build up a static charge on a rug to shock someone, like Sybil does here. I suspect that’s a mean Sim thing too, and man is it funny!

This entire burgling was such a mess too! Their staircase in their house is one of those ladder style ones, and the burglar got stuck at the top trying to come down, while the cop got stuck at the bottom trying to go up, both doing their little stompy route failure routine. All the members of the family were panicking, but eventually lost interest and started doing random stuff. Thankfully I have a mod that doesn’t let the game lock build and buy mode, so I could use move objects to get everyone moving along!

I am inclined to agree, both in real life and the Sims! Even though I don’t play I enjoy checking out the TS4 community sometimes, I’m also looking forward to seeing their pets when they have them! My mom plays TS4 and just based on her excitement for that EP alone, I have some sort of weird proxy excitement too!

@aquavioletsims anyway YES i’m so glad so many fellow spreadsheet users are manifesting themselves! my friends keep (affectionately) making fun of me because for a while i had my timelines drawn by hand on paper and kept losing them and freaking out, now my sim-playing ways are a well-known quirk of mine haha

and as i was telling a few other ppl, it’s 8 years counting a few hiatuses (one where i barely touched the game for like 2 years + a few months-long ones) so it’s not a solid 8 years of constant playing ^^ still, i started in 2009 and i intend to see this through!

How about Diana, Robin (boy or girl), Drake, or Grayson continuing the DC theme? Drake is from Tim Drake, and Grayson is from Dick Grayson, 2 of Batman’s Robins.
