I just got this thought in my head that readers cat is actually Primus in disguise and he is something like a guardian angel for reader (even though he's doing a shit job with reader getting kidnapped all the time).

Okay that’d be funny. I don’t think it’s true but you never know. Primus go home your not helping.

Imagine a cat following reader into the facility and it adoring all the mers there lmao

Playfully bites the mers and bats at their fins/tails meowing sweetly. Always demanding pets or to be held by anyone lamder or mer. It loves the mers! And is hugely connected to reader liking nuzzles and cuddles just like the mers. She calls the cat Aquaeena after Poseidon’s wife and takes it almost everywhere.

Omg how about Tarn and reader's kitty? How does he react to it and how does she react to him being around her kitty?

Reader is protective of her kitty after she gets it and doesn’t want Pharma or Tarn anywhere near Aquaeena. It’s her cat. No one is touching it that has the intention to harm. Eventually though while reader is working and her kitties wandering around it bumps into Tarn and Pharma who want to steal their daughter for some cuddle time. Aquaeena thinking there like any other mer asks to be petted and nuzzles against the two mers. Tarn immediately gets into it curious and pets the kitty who becomes mush under his taloned hands. He smiles at the purring and nuzzles her to witch the kitty nuzzles back. Pharma eventually joins in and when you go looking for you’re cat you see her with you’re dads! You snatch you’re kitty and you’re dads start complaining til they see it’s you and calm down. Now you’re in a cuddle pile in one of the abandoned tanks far away from people and you’re cat is on top of you purring proudly. Bad kitty you think as you’re dads nuzzle you happy.

I bet cats love reader because she smells like fish all the time.

Headcannon excepted poor reader always has cats following her or nipping at her fingers when she goes outside cause FISH!!! XD

Every time Pharma approaches the cat reader starts hissing before picking it up and walking away. The cat looks over at Pharma with a smug look on its face. It knows the power it holds.

Reader will protect her kitty and the kitty is happy cuddling her human.

Pharmas made a mistake… The kitties off limits.
