@aquestionthatsneverbeenposed “I’ll go easy on you.” (because you know he's a cocky clotpole like that)
Ella fought back a smile at the comment, offering him a convincing yet fake innocent and admiring look. “Really? Oh how very kind and gentlemanly of you. Honestly, it is so kind of you.” Ella took her sword and moved swiftly, forcing the blade from Merlin’s hand and used her foot, hooking it around his ankle and tugging so he’d fall. She followed him, careful where she landed, before hovering over him, hands holding his wrists as she smirked down at him. She leaned forward and spoke, eyes momentarily glowing gold. “Really, I truly appreciate you taking it easy on me. I obviously needed it.”
sometimes i’m sad but then i remember that this is the most powerful sorcerer in the world and then everything is okay again
@aquestionthatsneverbeenposed asked: “Get behind me NOW.”
“You know I can protect myse – ah!” Arthur swore next as he ducked away from the beast that was clearly of magic. He grabbed for his sword, aiming for where he hoped would be a final blow, but the thing reached out at him again, causing him to nearly stumble backwards. This time he did get behind Merlin, fingers still curled tightly around his sword. He would not admit to needing protection later, but whatever this thing was, surely Merlin could handle it. Magic could fight magic, right? “Do something now, Merlin! Don’t just stand there.”
silently serene starters // accepting.

[Partner] - Help them with a task.
The door of the armory swings open quietly, and Morgana’s soft steps rustle over the wooden floor. She often came here before tournaments and melees, to grant a lucky knight her favor, but never outside of that – it’s late, too late, perhaps, for her to wander around the castle, but she couldn’t sleep anyway, not after her latest nightmare. And somehow she knew where to find Merlin – with the amount of work Arthur gives him, it’s not surprising at all.
“Such a beautiful piece of work,” she smiles admiringly, fingers brushing lightly over the shiny steel of the blade. This sword is the best she’s ever seen, which, too, is hardly surprising – the prince always gets the best, while she was never allowed a personalised weapon. “Let me help you with that. I used to help my father with his armor, I know a lot about sword maintenance.”
🌹 (you know Merlin would eventually break and take Tom under his wing to teach him magic lmao)
Tom fought a grin, jiggling his foot in excitement. "Really? You'll teach me? What are we doing first? Fire? Telekinesis? Oh, can you teach me how to do that one with the fog?" He hoped his questions didn't put Merlin off of teaching him altogether.
Reunions (Merlin, Melinda)
Melinda had been staring at her phone, she was still worried about Merlin but she felt like a coward. But considering there was a dragon on her front lawn right now. She didn’t have a choice now.
[TEXT to Emrys] Are you okay?
🤙 Bump into my muse
Her arms full of borrowed books from Camelot’s library, Mithian really should have taken a second trip, but that would waste time. Instead, she was unable to see clearly over the tower of literature, which caused her to bump into Merlin as they passed each other, sending books falling to the floor. “Oh! I apologize, Merlin. I didn’t even see you there. Are you alright?”, she asked even as she knelt in her fine gown and began stacking the books again.
