He startled. That was almost the last thing he had expected from her. Had he really lost that much of his personality?
“Is it that noticeable?”

Not far from Tirion upon Túna, where the line of the Pelori Mountains broke upon the Bay of Eldamar, Tyelcormo and Curufinwë had earlier discovered, in the middle of a hunt, a group of coves. They had meant to return to explore them properly, but afterward Tyelco left to ride with Oromë in the woods, so Curufinwë sought a new partner.
He found her just where he expected, and called her name to capture her attention.
“Irissë!”

Closed|| The meeting in the cold of the night

Night came and it was frozen. But Tuor had to walk alone all the way back to the only place that he could call home in this cruel, dangerous world. He tried to forget how cold the night was. He tried to fogget of his melancholy and he stood still for a while to gaze at the stars. Their beauty was astounding, it was something that obliterated all the negative thoughts.
He sighed that moment, and it was a sigh of rellief. Tuor was feeling somewhat better now, he knew that there was still some hope left in this world. It was what he needed that moment. The stars were shining more brightly now, as if they wanted to destroy the bleakness of the winter. It felt as if Elbereth wanted to prove that she still cared for everyone.
Suddenly, as Tuor was standing still on the snow, he saw a figure approaching him. He gulped because he was sure that the other person was a woman, but he did not know much about women, having met very few of them in his life. But he wanted to talk to her, wondering why she was out, when this night was so cold. “My lady, what brings you here?” he whispered.
“I’m nervous.”
His left ear twitched then swiveled. “Sh.” He put his pointer finger to his lips. “That is unless you’d rather go to our grandfather’s banquet.” Tyelkormo shifted in the cramped space of the closet.

❝ You Eldar certainly do love your grudges, don’t you ? ❞
“ i need you to tell me what happened.”

❊ The question isn’t unexpected, but he’s been dreading the moment she would ask the entire time she’s been with him — because it would not feel right to only tell her part of the story.
“It is a painful story, mela. Are you sure you are ready to hear it?”
