And I was "why not to make au where we have new assymetrical sophont?"

Arachns is called like this because they can make substance similar to spiderweb. Most of their architecture and instruments was built using this web

Being arachn is metal honestly. They are living on a desert planet where is two seasons

Peaceful but cold and foggy year

Year of very strong neverending winds

Their strong web is preventing them from damaging by sand and wind

Arachn is feeding on living creatures's blood(hematophage), so technically they can feed on living prey(not recommended)

Arachns are way worse at vocalisations than bug ferrets but they are still using sound to communicate with their web. Arachns can use sign language but it's poorly

Hello! I absolutely adore your arachns I just have a few questions about them, how large are they compared to other sophonts like height and weight? And are all arachns colored the same or are they different? And how are their social structures like?

Arachns are 95 cm tall.

their weight is similar to Belgian Shepherds (23–29 kg (53–64 lb)) for both sexes.

Yeah, they are all colored almost the same, but have a little differences between shades of red.

Their social structure is similar to taurs but with more freedom in it. Imagine if you can just leave your clan and accidentally return if you want to. There is arachns that likes chilling with new clan every week and arachns that likes to stay in one clan for almost entire life. I think they are like this because their surviving point isn't about having more food, dominating, or having more partners. It's more about making buildings(I mean these structures made of web) and equipment together to avoid some crazy conditions on this planet. Honestly, being lonely on their planet is dangerous
