Hey, remember my girl, Aruna the Arachne?

Well, I decided to experiment with her design further by giving her a more… “cartoonish” look and give her a slightly different personality and backstory. Then I started getting ideas of an askblog for her.

This time, Aruna was born as an Arachne and even has the ability to hide her spider-like form with a human disguise.

Whether or not if I’ll start an askblog for her, I think I’ll wait ‘till my main blog gets more followers before I start it. After all, there’s no guarantee that it would get enough followers for people to ask her questions. But if you guys do wish to see her with her own blog, then please reblog

So, if I did start an askblog staring Aruna, would you follow that blog?

This is what my brain does to me... It creates OCs.

It creates scenarios where said OCs crossover to another world that has nothing to do with the premise of OCs’ own world. It imagines interactions between that world’s canon characters and the OCs.

It does not prepare me for the OCxCanon ship that is this!-

Why brain!? Why must you do this to me!?

Btw, this is not canon for my version of Yuu’s story. Just a little something for funsies!😜

Aruna is a shy young Arachne that’s self-conscious about her spider body sense people tend to get creeped out by it. And Deuce is awkward around girls. I imagine their first interaction to be a misunderstanding. He doesn’t know what to say to her (think back to the Ghost Marriage Event), and she would take his silence being that he’s uncomfortable around her. But once she learns that wasn’t the case and that he’s not creeped out by her, she acts more comfortable around him and vice versa. And if he catches anyone making fun of or bullying her, his bad boy side comes out ready to knock some heads. Startled at first, but is very touched that he would defend her like that. I can see Aruna developing a crush Deuce, and if she were to get flustered around him, she would retreat into her silk cocoon to hide her blushing face.

I don’t know why, I just find it cute! 🥰 Been actually thinking about making a fic of her finding herself in NRC and having to stay at Ramshackle Dorm.

Meet Aruna Astra

I realized that while I did post her on my Ko-Fi page, I didn’t post her here.

Funny story actually! My sister - @witchsgalaxy - told me once she had a dream that I turned into an arachne! It’s ironic ‘cuz I have a terrible fear of spiders. And apparently I gave off some kind of pheromone that attracted actual spiders! As I was running away from them in fear I begged my sister to squish me!

So yeah, definitely would NOT like that to happen to me!😬😖

Oh! The other thing that happened in her dream is that I wasn’t the only one who transformed. Half of the human population throughout the world went through a transformation into mythical beasts and monsters. Besides me, her best friend turned into a vampire and her husband into a werewolf. And in this world, some of humans that haven’t transformed started isolating themselves from the ones who had.

It was actually that dream that inspired me to create Aruna Astra, who’s set in a world that went through a monstrous transformation. Which begs the question… How would the world adapt if half the human population turned into mythical beasts or monsters. Then I started thinking… What if a person were to transform into something that’s just as inconvenient for them? For example, someone who’s a complete foodie, can no longer taste food due to becoming a vampire and can only digest blood. Or a dancer becomes a centaur. You know, sense they would have two left feet!🤣

So far, I’ve dubbed this world as Monsters Reborn. I might change it later down the line.

And just for fun, what Mythical Beast or Monster would you like to turn into? And which one would be the worst for you?
