Normally, Aranea would have delivered gifts for Twelfth Perigees in person. But at least one of these things, she didn’t want to be with her matesprit when she opened them, for fear of dying out of embarrassment. The top of the box had a simple tag on it, the only sign of whom it might be from being a heart in blue ink. She knew if she’d started to write a note it would be pages long, so this was simpler. Inside the box were a few different things. The largest, accounting for the size of the box, were a pair of skating poles, striped in their colors-custom-made, in all likelihood. The second object was a charm bracelet, with charms made of Latula’s symbol, Aranea’s symbol, and a pair of skate charms. There would definitely be room for more, but if Latula took to wearing it, she could buy more then. Lastly, the bit that meant she definitely didn’t want to be with Latula when she opened it, was a set of lingerie, and rather racy lingerie at that. It was simple, really-a thong, designed so that even with her small hips the straps would ride high and above most non-dress bottoms she wore; and a push-up bra. Both based on designs Aranea had seen on Earth, definitely not the style of the time (though thankfully Kanaya was able to help anyway,) and both the deep teal to match Latula’s blood. Clearly in Aranea’s size, and another slip, with a Serket ‘;;;;)’ drawn on it in the same blue.

.... Welp. Um. The stack of packages had seemed rather exciting at first, but now she's just not... really sure what to do with this. The poles are really nice, but she just got a skateboard! A legal one! And skateboards are better than cycleskates and they don't require poles.

Charm bracelets are not something that she wears? At all? Or really bracelets in general? Or. Okay, so she doesn't really wear jewelry period. The "rad" thing that Kankri had gotten was hard enough to wear and all she had to do is hang it around her neck and leave it there for basically days. But braclets are hard and you always know they're there!

The lingerie is just kind of confusing. It doesn't take a genius to know that these are obviously meant to be worn by the other woman. But. Isn't this the sort of gift you find by "unwrapping" your quadrant? Or, at least, have the quadrant nearby to wear it for you? Just having the lingerie is just... kind of disappointing. Aranea didn't even leave a note.

And that’s all she bothered replying with before heading out into the cold, now more than easily able to quickly skate to Latula’s apartment. The short trip was still more than enough to cause a bit of a chill, and so she was pretty rapidly knocking on the door once she’d stopped, blankets in hand.

Ugh. Rapid knocking sounds a lot like pounding. Which doesn't help her head. Neither does the whole opening her eyes thing. Ugh. This is annoying. And it's so damn cold.

The only good part of this is that her matesprit (Matesprit? Don't worry about that now....) is coming over. And hopefully that is her... Latula can't really tell, because being a cerulean blood means that she's not a teal blood... which slightly dulls somethings.

Anyway, door. Hopefully matesprit. She'll just go answer that now...
