question about noragami

I've literally finished all the available anime episodes and even the available manga chapters and I can't say for sure if Noragami enticed me or made me irritated by it but: Why did Yato still succumb to killing people in the Noragami Aragato episodes? I might have missed some points in the manga or the anime where it does explain it, but I only have three possibilities in mind... a) Does Yato still enjoy it? b) Does he do it because of his Father? c) BOTH A AND B I just want to clear it up (possibly to get rid of my irritation also), if there exist a certain answer.
