My immediate thoughts as I wrote them, immediately post-73-yards:

It's like blink, but not the angels part, but the interesting time travel mechanics part. It's like army of ghosts. It's like nothing, as well. Completely new. Kate Stewart jumpscare. It's like doctor who. But doctor who wasn't in it. Hmm.

This feels like an incredible episode but not one that makes you say WOAH did you see the explosion? They namedropped a 70s serial! Did you see the Time Lord Lore Implications?? No, it's an episode that you sit down and process and you're just like Wow. THAT'S an all timer to me.

It's not going to have the cultural staying power of blink, but it's very reminiscent to it's bootstrappy mind bending doctor-in-the-distance theoretical logic based sci fi, as well as it's traditional mythology based monster that symbolises foreboding approach.

Despite being a CGI flying around type of movie, it never lost the sense of physicality. The message that he's just as "man" as he is "super" is strengthened by how often in fights he feels living and breathing.

He wasn't made weak, neither was he untouchable, there's an equal balance of lifting dinosaur feet and getting his shit kicked in by his equals.
