“Well now, and what could a lowly mercenary like me have to offer the holy king herself? Aren’t you meant to be off slaying dragons and saving damsels?”

some details for those interested:

this scene is part of my arthurian au, in which king lunafreya of avalon seeks out aranea highwind - a self-proclaimed mercenary more well-known as a dragon-slaying folk hero - to try to recruit her to the order of knights which luna hopes to establish. aranea is charmed by lunafreya’s earnestness. she’s less charmed when she finds out she’s tapped with leading the knight order and building it from the ground up. she didn’t sign up for this - except she kind of did. oops.

aranea is sort of meant to be the lancelot to lunafreya’s king arthur, but i’m not actually following arthurian legend that strictly. there’s much more dragons involved for one thing.

finally done my piece for day 6 (or something) of @araneaweek - TRICKSTER! (she’s transparent!)

i’m posting a tutorial later on how to do the 3d thing in affinity photo (but i’m pretty sure i’m the only one who uses it lol), because i searched for quite a while b/c apparently this is the one part ap works differently from photoshop??? either way i finally found something that worked but the guy in the video was really monotone and did not shut up. he could have finished that video in 1 minute i swear.
