i!!! completely forgot to reply to this 😭 I'M SORRY SHANI pls take this outtake of Arashi from the Coachella poster shoot as penance ~ and i'll answer for him too.. though it's kind of a short answer : the man calls himself allergic to shirts 😂 he has -access- to a lot of clothes, mostly athletic or avant garde, but he's wearing as few of them as he can get away with at any given time 🌹🙏🏾✨

NAME : arashi

PRONOUNS : he/him

HOME CITY : okinawa-shi , okinawa prefecture , japan

BACKGROUND : as the only child of a single mother who happens to be a wildly successful chef running an internationally acclaimed restaurant , there might’ve been some expectation for arashi to take up the mantle ; his passions , however , lie firmly in the world of cirque - his mother encouraged his ambition with a firm caveat that he’d work the kitchen and learn the trade in exchange for her funding his extreme hobbies through mid-adolescence ~ she was as supportive as she is demanding , so while he never had any culinary school setting education , many young years of real-time experience with accomplished and learned cooks in a live restaurant kitchen means that he knows his shit and can handle the flames ~  his plan is to win the competition as a debt of gratitude to and in honor of the mother that made his future as a fire-wielding athlete more than a pipe dream ~ arashi’s acrobat career skyrocketed in his late teens when he teamed up with an exceptionally well-connected friend, eventually becoming co-founder of their own company and going on to produce a series of cult-popular shows and attractions with a loyal troupe of artists and performers - but when an injury on trapeze took him out of the circus ring and forced him to take a break from the Big Top during recovery , it was the heat of the kitchen that soothed this adrenaline-junkie’s itch for exciting challenges ; arashi returns to chef life with renewed inspiration and a motive to express his taste for daring theatrics through the art of fusion cuisine ~ the rules and recipes inside of his mother’s establishment may be strict , but on his own time outside of it , arashi is innovating a fresh take on japan’s traditional kaiseki ryori , drawing influence from other strains of his dna and introducing the bold candor of southern american cajun soul food to this elegant fine dining ritual

PERSONALITY : probably a given at this point that he thrives in environments of organized chaos and actively seeks thrills through pushing boundaries , but that is the very quality that sets him at ease in a high-stakes kitchen ~ arashi’s cirque persona is an untamable batshit pyromaniac , and he makes it look damn good - a riotously fun time is the baseline vibe , but he’s an excellent executive as well , spinning many plates on a shifting floor with an aire of ease , warmth , and good-natured humor that’s comforting to those under his charge ; friends trust and rely on his thoughtfulness in the eye of a storm , even if his moral compass is more resemblant of jack sparrow’s ; his path won’t set you on the straight and narrow but it’ll get you where you want to go (and if not , well ~ he’ll roll you a smoke to soothe your ills) - failure bothers him more than he lets on , so it’s always “off to the next mistake” with a pack of Lucky Strikes in hand and lessons learned to tell the tale ~ he’s got a penchant for bouncing back higher than the distance fallen.

2. What’s their biggest regret?

- right out the gate with the heavy hitters , eh ? lol well ~ he's a very 'no regrets , only memories' kind of guy , but he definitely has regrets about how his c'est la vie kind of attitude has encouraged friends down self-destructive paths ; he's enabled unhealthy patterns and habits and hasn't noticed until it got dangerous more times than he'd like in the past - it's something he's working on getting better at now after too many close calls , but the guilt still gets to him and it all kinda makes him question a lot of things about his own risky lifestyle

8. If they were an animal, which one would they be? Which one would they think they’d be?

- i'd say horse - ara is rly into dragons , so that's likely his choice even though it's mythological

14. What’s their favorite book genre, if they enjoy reading at all?

- graphic novels , for sure ~ he loves deep lore and storytelling but he needs visuals to keep him engaged ; i see him being into fantasy and mystery , with a soft spot for the superhero stuff

15. How would they describe themselves?

- as extremely as he likes to live , his desires are simple ; arashi sees himself as a fairly laidback person and he would describe himself as a reformed troublemaker - the angels and devils on his shoulders get along and makeout instead of argue with each other nowadays XD if you catch him in a cocky mood , though , he's a lot less conservative about his virtues ; for example , his wife and lovers often hear about how good he is to them (i mean , they often agree , so ~ lol) and he's quite satisfied with his role as most-liked mentor at his acro-studio
