Teppei from Captain Earth, an anime I watched back in 2014 and that I rewatched last year that I still find endearing even though it was kinda nonsensical. Teppei was my favourite 💜

Started watching Captain Earth again recently and I HAD TO DO SOME SHIP TEMPLATES/CHARTS FOR THE BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYFRIENDS DAICHI AND TEPPEI!!!!!!!!!!

I WAS going to do a NSFW one, but I decided against it as I don't really have enough of a desire to do it right now...I DO however, have a NSFW headcanon!

It's the following: Daichi and Teppei start dating after the end of the show with Hana and Akari being the best Third Wheels one could ask for. Hana tells the boys various ideas for cute dates and SFW things...meanwhile, Akari, who had been shipping them FOREVER will randomly look up kinky fanfiction and doujin and if she spots something she thinks either of the two lovers will enjoy at home, she tells them and they go for it.

akari being the one teppei opens up to is SO IMPORTANT!! she’s been waiting for him to do so since the very first time they met

akari telling him ‘you’re cuter when you smile’, reaching out, and teppei not knowing how to react to such a natural, human comment

remember that this is akari, who never had friends before meeting daichi, never bothered to connect with the world beyond her computer and codes, content to have a vast universe of numbers and scripts at her fingertips

at some level, akari must relate to teppei, because both of them understand ‘loneliness’ (i’d wager hana and daichi do too, which is why the four of them finding a home and a team in each other is SO INTEGRAL SO IMPT)

teppei and akari’s companionable silences that speak volumes about how comfortable they are with one another that they don’t need words to fill up the gap between them

teppei, who possesses unimaginable experiences and knowledge beyond human comprehension, not understanding how to be friends with a human girl

but without him noticing, he and akari have already reached that point

teppei trusting akari enough to word his thoughts to her, relying on her in a way he hasn’t allowed himself to before, because it’s so easy when hes with akari

and akari waiting patiently for him all this time to do just that

teppei, finally getting an answer he has never been able to find (why am i here?) despite all his immense knowledge, from a plucky teenage girl

the idea of a god leading teppei to akari!!! something that teppei could never bring himself to believe in (rmb, in ep 3 he tells her, ‘i’ve never seen god’)

akari, managing to bridge the distance between gulfs and eons of space with one sentence and a kiss

basically: two characters who wanted but never connected to anyone, didn’t think they could connect to anyone, overcoming an impossible distance to metaphorically and literally reach one another, establishing a mutual connection
