I think you asked if this scene had ever gotten the asexual flag treatment: https://www.tumblr.com/emily84/818309732875026432
Hope that works!

Tag 10 people (or less) you would like to know better!
I was tagged by @arathesane. Thank you! (P.S: Your sceptical Malcolm Tucker icon!)
Last song: "Unchained Melody"'s cover by Norah Jones.
Favourite Colour: I love a lot of shades of blue but have been growing increasingly into deep purple. I basically love deep colours.
Currently Watching: Dark Winds too but have only watched S1 yet. It's as good as advertised. Also Ellis and a lot of art documentaries.
Also watching yet very slowly The Beast in Me, Outlander, and Bridgerton's S4.
Currently reading: I'm literally about to start "Six Days in Rome" by Francesca Giacco, so I can't say anything yet.
I've just finished "Fake Accounts" by Lauren Oyler and while I found some bits interesting, I'd say it strayed from the presented synopsis quite a bit and said premise was what made me buy the book so it was a disappointing. I found it very of its time. You have to have a certain board of references to...I don't want to say understand it nor "get it", but if one doesn't, they probably will feel a bit lost.
Current Obsession: Like you, I don't feel particularly obsessed with anything.
Currently Working On: not much, I am afraid. Just trying to keep it together, tbh. Regarding creative endeavours, I am still working on the latest chapter of my fic "Homewards".
Last google search: Imperial Torte. I still like the Sachertorte better but my brother doesn't and prefers the former, that's the context. Personally, chocolate and apricot jam is hard to beat.

Re that post about remakes that are superior, I love Preminger’s Laura, and knew that about Laura Palmer’s name but I’ve never read the novel it was based on. I imagine that it’s the case with many good to excellent film noirs - that they are better than their source material.
Yes, this is very true.
It can also be said about "Double Indemnity," "The Big Sleep," "Out of the Past," "Mildred Pierce," "In a Lonely Place."
I started How To Get To Heaven From Belfast last evening, but we’re watching one episode a night so I look forward to reading/seeing your posts on it in a week or so. I’m filtering it, I don’t mind or get mad if I get accidentally spoiled for something(because if it’s good, it usually doesn’t matter) but I enjoy being surprised
I saw a little of one of your posts before I started filtering and I definitely agree about the Twin Peaks and Big Little Lies vibes. I’ve never watched Yellowjackets, only know a little about it from what I’ve absorbed via Tumblr so I can’t really say anything about that series!
Hope you have fun!
And I totally get it, believe me.
I'm one of those weirdos that don't mind spoilers at all (because knowing what happens helps me focus on smaller audiovisual details, otherwise I need a second more careful watch to catch everything), but in this particular case, not getting spoiled is a good idea due to the series's structure and twisty storytelling.
As for "Yellowjackets," it is not prestige TV. It has its up and downs in terms of quality (to put it mildly since it comes from "The Originals" creators), but, overall, I do recommend it if you enjoy stories about (unhinged, traumatized) women.
Out of all the recent plane crash shows focusing on teen girls that I've seen, it's the best for sure.
It's very nostalgic (the 90's), it pays homage to "Lost" and references/mimics "Twin Peaks" (especially in seasons 1 & 3, but not always successfully), all while having a very "Lord of the Flies" kind of story.
Omar Little, Avon Barksdale, and Lester Freamon for the character meme.
ooh thank you for sending!!! (sorry for the delayed response i had to deal with some work stuff).
omar little
Favorite thing about them:
everything! he's my moon and my stars. he's my idol. everyone in the wire is trying to live their life a certain kind of way, and i think omar is the best at being who he wants to be. as with everyone else, there are certain constraints on his life that keep him from, quite literally, living it, but i think more than any other character he knows who he is and how to live as himself.
Least favorite thing about them:
idk his mortality?
Three things i have in common with them:
martyr complex, only hangs out with other queer people, loves honey nut cheerios
Three things i don’t have in common with them:
he's much more stylish than me, has way more game than i do, i would have stayed on that island
Favorite line:
“can you fix this, joe?” “what’s the problem?” “ran outta time.” so silly.
brOTP:
omar/kimmy/tosha peak mlm/wlw solidarity :) i also came to really love omar/bunk
OTP:
omar/brandon always and forever 💔 i was also a fan of omar/renaldo
nOTP:
omar/dante. fuck dante
Random Headcanon:
he's a very good dancer. he often picks up men at clubs, and dancing is his secret weapon. also, brandon used to braid his hair.
Unpopular Opinion:
i kind of wish it were just omar to gun stringer down. i didn't mind brother mouzone being there, but omar's motivation for going after stringer was so much more moving to me that brother mouzone, so i would have liked a greater focus on him.
Song i associate with them:
medicine for horses by viagra boys
Favorite picture of them:
avon barksdale
Favorite thing about them:
i really appreciate how smart and well rounded he is in a way that a lot of thug characters aren't afforded. i think that's sometimes obscured a little bit by how stubborn and hard-headed he is, but boy really does be knowing.
Least favorite thing about them:
i don't like the kangol hats :/
Three things i have in common with them:
obsessed with stringer bell, very emotional decision maker, likes kids.
Three things i don’t have in common with them:
i don't expect that much from my family, i don't care that much about sports, i can't make a visor look good.
Favorite line:
“i'm just a gangsta, i suppose. and i want my corners."
brOTP:
avon/wee-bey. although i agree with the sentiment that wee-bey is a competitive ranked homophobe, i think avon eventually convinces wee-bey to start fucking him a few years into his second prison stint. it helps his process stringer's death and wee-bey doesn't question it, because he's a real ride-or-die. a real bro.
OTP:
stringer/avon. it could only be them 🫂
nOTP:
that's hard because i could see avon with almost anyone. this isn't a real "notp," but i feel like during his first prison stint he would make a big deal about remaining celibate.
Random Headcanon:
he's the youngest of his siblings.
Unpopular Opinion:
avon would not necessarily have "beat" marlo if it weren't for stringer! i see that opinion on reddit and tiktok a lot, and i feel like that take is completely missing the point. marlo and avon's game is not meant to be winnable! one way or another, avon was probably gonna wind up dead or in prison. he expected as much. he thought stringer was crazy for imagining anything else. the idea that the barksdale organization was some exceptional empire that was impervious to the wheel of time if only it stringer hadn't fucked everything up seems to be a really popular opinion in a certain part of this fandom and i will not tolerate it.
Song i associate with them:
provider by n.e.r.d. also loyalty by kendrick feat rihanna.
Favorite picture of them:
lester freamon
Favorite thing about them:
i adore hyper-competence. always have, always will. and i love how well-recognized his brilliance is by the rest of the police detail. everyone loves lester :')
Least favorite thing about them:
see my shardene comments below.
Three things i have in common with them:
obsessive, not a personality hire but still a good hire, condescending in a (hopefully) lovable way
Three things i don’t have in common with them:
i am neither "cool" nor "smooth," i not as big of a fan of prez as he is, i'm not as patient with my co-workers
Favorite line:
“all the pieces matter."
brOTP:
i mean lester/prez is pretty lovable. and i really like the lester/bunk friendship.
OTP:
despite what i say below, i do really like lester/shardene. also lester/mcnulty 😈
nOTP:
lester/anyone in a leadership position, unless he has ulterior motives. he's a man of the people.
Random Headcanon:
i think he would be a fan of 30 rock.
Unpopular Opinion:
i do think he and shardene are cute . . . but. it is a little creepy. especially given shardene's vulnerable position informing on her powerful, criminal employers and also she's living in lester's house! i don't think you can't have a good relationship under those circumstances, but i do think this relationship is the most unethical thing lester engages in throughout the series. after the fake serial killings, i guess. i'm eh 🤷♀️ about it honestly.
Song i associate with them:
i could see him singing here i am by al green in the kitchen :)
Favorite picture of them:
Top 5 Ava/Deb scenes, top 5 Orphan Black pairings(romantic, platonic, whatever), top 5 scenes on The Wire?
Ava/Deb
Damn, I need to rewatch and refresh my memory because I had to think before answering this one:
Their season 1 fight (followed by their season 3 fight that reflects it). The acting, how realistic it feels (how it escalates from 0 to 100 within seconds), the emotional hurt.
"You can make it funny. You can make anything funny." Everything about that scene hits: how they both relax and connect through their common language (humor), their vulnerability, both of them opening up (Deborah about her husband's betrayal, Ava about the suicide of her one night stand), how worried Deborah is when Ava experiences pelvic pain.
Deborah's "Death, taxes and this fucking guy!" monologue in episode (since it is inspired by her earlier fight with Ava).
Ava's e-mail, the confrontation. Deborah's expressions? Pain and suffering. "You're just like me" (derogatory).
Deborah letting Ava go in 2.08. "You're just like me" (affectionate). Ava's "I want to be wherever you are" had me screaming, crying, throwing up. And a season later, she made that a reality again.
Damn, I mentioned them (almost) chronologically so now I can't include
"The Story" early season 3 scene
or how Deborah looks in the mirror and sees the younger version of herself (before her performance)
or how Deborah lets a sigh of relief and then a smile when Ava runs to her and they both ignore a room full of writers staring at them
or Ava and Deborah's conversation about queerness in 2.04
or Deborah looking at herself in the mirror after defending Ava when those assholes make jokes about bisexuality or
the shouting match that follows. "I can't get you out of my head!" "I can't get you out of mine!" Story of their lives.
Consider them honorable mentions, lol.
"Orphan Black" platonic dynamics (sorry I'm cheating by splitting them, I know)
Sarah and Helena (now that's what I call a compelling sibling dynamic)
Sarah and Beth (the haunting/manifestation of Sarah's guilt were made for me in a lab--um, haha, no but both in 3.06 and 4.06/4.07 they broke me)
Siobhan and Sarah (Siobhan's death had me crying)
Helena and Gracie
Art and Sarah
Again, I want to add more but I'll put them under honorable mentions: Rachel with Charlotte, Helena/Rachel with Kira, Adele with Felix, Rachel with Ira, Helena with both Alison and Donnie, Rachel with Siobhan (really brief but interesting).
Romantic ones:
Beth and Art. I loved them. She should have ditched Paul for that sweet, sweet man. Btw, the main reason I'm glad that the show didn't roll with Art/Sarah is that Art was basically like, "I get the sestra thing. I can tell you apart. I won't make such a mistake." (And initially I wanted it to happen.)
Felix and Tony. I know this lasted for an episode and it was weird or whatever, but the impact it had on me? Huge. Did not care much for Felix's boyfriend that later becomes his husband. I did very much care for Tony though.
Alison and Donnie. The Shauna/Jeff of it all and their black sitcom-iness have enchanted me.
Helena and that boyfriend of hers. Really wanted to see more of them.
Mark and Gracie. The way I wanted them to go far away and survive...The moment they reappeared after season 2, I knew it was all over for them. It took a while, but it happened.
Honorable mention: Would have loved to see more of Siobhan's old boyfriend. It was a blink and you'll miss it thingy, but I would have been invested.
"The Wire"
How could I possible choose? I'm gradually rewatching the series and once I've finished, I'll probably rant a lot more about this, but for the time being, I'm not going to overthink it.
Without further ado:
Omar's (my beloved) courtroom testimony. Iconic lines.
Wallace's death. Heartbreaking moment.
Bunk and Omar's confrontation.
Bubbles's sobriety speech.
Clay Davis's manipulative testimony
Thank you very much!
