So I finally looked up what the name "Aravadhor" means. Apparently it means "Noble Judge." Which is actually surprisingly fitting...especially given that I randomly selected the 14 original names for Elrond's men, and then plucked one of them out to be the character that would become Aravadhor. Ugh. My baby. He grows up so much.

(For those of you who don't know, Aravadhor is a character I created who serves under Elrond throughout the last half of the Second Age, and follows him to Rivendell. After the founding of Rivendell, Elrond promotes Aravadhor to Captain (one of three)--the second highest rank, under Commander (Glorfindel being Commander).)
