A bot that can fly without wings?!

Thundercracker had been buying supplies when he spotted them.

Half of the supplies are the necessities for starscream newest invention, while the other half is his and his trine’s necessities. As he was preparing to take off, that’s when he saw them.

Normal looking bots. With no wings?!

Thundercracker stared up at them with so much awe he was starstruck. Immediately he took off and transformed in mid air.

By the time he arrived he placed the needed items on the table and went to starscream’s side. “Screamer you would not believe what I saw today!” He says to the seeker enthusiastically while passing him a wrench.

“Proceed.” Is all his trine leader said, intensely focused on the task at hand. “Well-… I don’t really know how to explain it, but I saw-.”

“Thundercracker.” Starscream cut the blue seeker off, turning towards the his trinemate. “When I said proceed, I meant for you to leave me be.” He told him, turning back to his project.

“Wha-?! But-.”

“No buts.” Starscream cut him off again. “Leave.” He pressed on, turning his back to his trine mate once more.

Thundercracker exasperatedly sighed silently before leaving. On his way he thought about contacting Skywarp, he sent a message to his other trine mate, hopefully he’ll be free to talk to.

But alas, he wasn’t available either, sent a message to remind Thundercracker that he is in fact busy. This made the sky blue seeker roll his optics.

Thundercracker then went on a walk, shaking his helm as the took a detour.

Along that detour he took notice of some expensive energon treats, and saw one he and his trine mates haven’t had since they were younglings.

Smiling to himself he walked up to the seller, ordered 6 energon ruby pops and paid for them in advance before going on his way.

‘I can’t wait to sink my denta in these once I get back!’ He thinks, licking his dermas before sub spacing the rest of delectable treats before having one himself.

His intake watered, about to place it in his intake-.

“Where’s you get that?” A raspy voice made him jump, turning his heel towards the voice his optics caught on a pair of red, staring down with a tilted helm.

… he knows that mech! That’s the same one he saw flying without any wings or thrusters! What are the odds?!

“Uhm… t-this? From t-that vendor over there.” He pointed down an alley, the mech looked back at the alley and his optics darkened. “He said he ran out.”

He grumbled, crossing his restarlueus, clearly annoyed he didn’t get any. “Oh… did you go earlier or…?” Thundercracker hesitated, tapping his digit on his thigh.

“I did. He said all out before I can pay.”

Thundercracker blinked, turned back to the vendor and groaned with a facepalm. “That’s right, that vendor only lets ‘pretty frames’ buy from his stand.”

“… pretty frames?” The grey mech challenges, arching his optic ridge at the seeker.

“Yeah, Y’know. Frames that shine, are excessively polished, no physical flaws.. they do that a lot around here.” Thundercracker shook his helm, sticking his glossa out at the mech that sold the treats to him.

“Around these parts ‘the prettier the frame, the more shanix they have’ despite that being not true.” He added, twirling the treat in his servo before offering it to the now bewildered mech. “… you’re giving that to me?”

“Yes. It’s the least I can do with how you were treated before.” Thundercracker shrugs, handing the treat to the mech as he nodded to the blue seeker. “Thank you, your endeavours are remarkable.”

“It’s no problem, sir.” Thundercracker waves him off. “You earned it fairly and it’d be a shame for that to go to waste.” Thundercracker explains.

Both mechs stayed silent for a small bit… making it a bit too awkward for the seeker to handle.

“I’ll uh… be sure to see you around…? Sometime?” Thundercracker questions, waving goodbye to the mech before transforming into his alt form and took off.

The mech looked down at the treat in his servo then back to where Thundercracker had flown off before and smirked.

“I’ll see you soon then.”

Being a Skyfire fan is so infuriating.

G1 created the best episode of their entire show in season one focused on skyfire, got into a copyright battle and lost, changed his name, and just put him back into the hole they dug him out from.
