Joseph had managed to find a quaint little town in his recent wanderings. The place he had landed in this time, well he had to admit had their own dangers.
He had been here for about two weeks, wandering from place to place, seeing odd creatures and humanoid beings. He had seen elves, dwarves and humans in the past few weeks, and this was a first that he had gotten inside a proper town and tavern.
He had no idea where he was, the name escaped him as he had had other things on his mind. The doorman at the gates though had let him in, the dour and rainy weather forcing many that could into their homes and warmer shelters - and Joseph suspected that the doorman had taken slight pity on him, even if he was to many here, odd looking.
Joseph stood at 5′5 in height, black coated with odd blue rings in certain areas, and he had wings at his back, and his hood down as he let himself dry off near the hearth. What didn’t help was his odd eye. It gleamed with a gem as its iris and it looked metal like, which was an oddity in of itself in this world. And one if his hands, he was clad there with a gauntlet which he refused to take off, but which seemed not to bother him as he held a tankard in his hand.
Some of the occupants were giving Joseph a side eye that he ignored. Some were hostile, because he was strange. Others with curiosity, and a few, tinged with fear.
How you could describe Joseph as he sat at a table with a mug of ale and looking rather carefree, was vulpine. He looked like someone had tried to mix a fox and a man in one.
He had raven black hair, which was tied with strange objects and cloths here and there, scars were on his face, at least the one on his eye was visible, as it made a X like shape there. And his armor, it was strange. It looked light yet sturdy, armor plating dotted in certain areas to protect more sensitive places, and a bandoleer of knives was crossed across his chest and a strange club was clipped to his side for easy reach.
He had walked into the tavern, hooded and strange, many if not all had gawked. His voice as he spoke to the bartender had been genial and light, even polite. He spoke much like a nobleman would, and he bore himself like a fighter. With quiet confidence and purpose.
Joseph could feel the eyes on him, hear the murmured whispers, but he ignored them, trying to simply enjoy his ale, and the warmth.
