of course the one post that escapes the containment of my small circle is the one about fucking Necromorphs 🤦♀️
I really ain't catching a break this 2026
I have done nothing but take L after L this 2026.
First I get smacked with extra fees and expenses leaving me with no monies
Then I get a cyst on my ovary
And then I trip over a cord at work and have a bad fall.
So uh- I'm ready for 2027 because this sure as shit is not my year -_-`
Plus work is insane rn
Sorry for going dark
Grandma died, my cat got sick suddenly and scared us, work is falling apart and I'm picking up slack for 2 other ppl on both sides of the business.
It ain't a Plus Ultra time rn 😅
Super Gold table time!

The World Cheese Awards are today!!!
Wish us luck!
"At what point does it cross over from child-led learning to child endangerment?" Viola complained as she took a bite of her muesli bar. She had to go complain to somebody before her brain imploded!
Her cousin had been doing his best to do educational things with her during the weekends, but he had no clue on where a line should be drawn "Honestly, he thinks I'm as indestructible as he is sometimes." She huffed "Ugh, I'm sorry, i never asked how your weekend was..."

"Oh this dog just took to the piano like a duck to water," Tyson said. "All they did was give him sheet music to learn." "Wow, first off great pun," Danielle remarked, raising her hand for a high five. "Top shelf!"
Viola narrowed her eyes "Damn, a dog learned piano faster than I did- well- I still can't play- but a dog beat me to it."
Taking a sip of her drink she chuckled "I'll definitely have to go check it out now."
"I'm starting to think my childhood and upbringing isn't normal, not when compared to younglings of other races.."
"Those poor kids.. They don't even know how to test for poison mushrooms."
"I'll have to get back to you on that, but it is rather tempting," Rilith remarked. She was sure that whatever fate awaited her old man on the other side was bad enough. The hope had to be there....
"Better to use the damned and deserving than anything else. Besides, kinda more ethical than taking cleaner souls." It was a strange sort of thinking her Master had, but Viola found little flaw in the logic.
"Hay, he might be part of a breakthrough."
People really do mistake my kindness for a giant stamp on my forehead that says "STUPID DOORMAT" and it's really starting to show.
I'm happy to help and take extra shifts but.. Messaging me at 6.20am asking me to both buy ingredients and go up and do the baking.
Bitch- coulda asked me yesterday when I had time to buy shit and Actually get the Boss Lady approval
"It's hard not being wanted, and not having a true place to call home.. But at least I'm not soft and squishy like Settled Folk."
"I can't imagine being such a sitting duck."
Attending my grandmothrs funeral via a livestream while I'm at work..
Surely this won't have any ill effect on my emotional state or mental wellbeing : ^
"I'm starting to think my childhood and upbringing isn't normal, not when compared to younglings of other races.."
"Those poor kids.. They don't even know how to test for poison mushrooms."
"That's rough buddy," Tyson sighed, not sure what else to say after that. Giving how casually she said it it didn't sound like it ate at her.
"My family situation isn't too dissimilar," Rilith remarked. "Mom was a dragonborn, the sperm donor was a tiefling. Got a lot of baggage from both sides of the family, but I've got a lot of little cousins who have my back."
It was rough, and embarrassing to think how combative she once was towards the kind Devil. Or, the less-evil-than-most devil.
"If you need to enact vengeance on the sperm donor let me know." Viola offered, proposing vengeance or retribution was usually good, right? People liked knowing others would help them in dark matters. So far as she thought
"Oh he's super dead!" Rilith mirthfully laughed, until she realized... "Oh yeah, mom died the same day...I made myself sad..."
Jonesy rose from the bed and snuggled against the warmer body. "Not the cuddles I was hoping for, but I'll take it," the Dracovecta said, stroking her fingers through the fur of the cat.
"Oh, I'm sorry for your loss.. If you'd like I can make sure he doesn't rest in peace." Viola offered, she could probably swing that if she asked super nicely. The perks of being raised in Hell.
She'd never known either of her own biological parents. Viola envied others who knew one or both, but she was also glad in a sense.
"Well, how can I say no to that?" Rilith smirked slightly, setting some coins on the counter. "Thanks, Vi. Your next couple of meals are on me."
Skullpuppy padded over to Viola and snuggled up to her legs. He was very good at making his Rilith happy when she felt sad, but he appreciated and was thankful for all who offered to help her as effectively. One pup couldn't do it all by themselves. Well, he could, but it was nice to have help.
"Just gimme the name and I'll go tell Master Leruxis he has a new test subject." Viola reached down and began petting the cuddly pup. There was no sadness the gentle presence of an animal could not sooth, well meaning comfort and affection always made things better.
Even if it was morally wrong for her to do this Viola felt it all balanced out in the end. Or, at least the scales would be tipped slightly in her favour.
"Who knows, the fucker might actually end up helping with groundbreaking research."
"At what point does it cross over from child-led learning to child endangerment?" Viola complained as she took a bite of her muesli bar. She had to go complain to somebody before her brain imploded!

"Yeah, I know parentage is all about making mistakes and learning from them, but there's a big difference between earnestly trying like that traveling troupe, and then there's maliciously negligent." "What troupe are we talking about again?" Danielle asked as she walked past. "The troupe run by a froglin bard and this wereboar barbarian. There's a werebear who does a comedy act and some sort of...I'm actually not sure what it is, but it's blue and it does a daredevil act..."
"Oh those guys, the Rainbow Connection!" Danielle clicked her fingers in understanding. "They're fun."
Viola raised an eyebrow, the name rang a bell but she couldn't be sure where she'd heard it before.. Or maybe she'd seen a flyer for it at some point "I feel like I've heard of that before, not sure where." Viola hummed.
With how much she did hear it was a wonder she didn't forget and mix things up more regularly.
"I might have to go check it out for myself when I get the chance."
"You really should. They even trained a dog to play the piano. He's one of my favorite acts in the troupe," Tyson said.
"Anyone who hates on such a cute act cannot be trusted," Danielle remarked.
"I don't even think those two old cranks who come to badger the show every time they're in town have a bad thing to say about the piano playing dog."
Training animals could be a difficult task, most weren't interested in learning silly tricks for treats. A few found it amusing, and a handful just liked to show off.
"Teaching animals can be one of the most rewarding things you can do, especially if it goes against their general nature." Viola herself had a bit of experience training certain creatures.
"I trained a Hellhound to bark flames upon hearing a specific sentence.. It backfired, but it was a valuable teaching moment..."
“I’m counting on your familiarity with the slums to see me safely through my encounters with the lower orders.”
"I would love to see him try. He doesn't know anything about my experience in bargaining" Tuor chuckled because he could be ruthless when he wanted to.
He had learned how to say no to such people. His teacher was one of the hardest teachers out there and he taught Tuor the importance of saying no when he had to.
"Besides, I think we are looking for the same person. If my friend has been kidnapped, he will be interested in my case. You see, his daughter has heen kidnapped too."
Violas eyes narrowed, she offered to come help without knowing exactly who had gone missing. Now she realised asking should have been her first property in the matter "Fine, but if he gives us any crap he will be greeting his daughter again with one less kneecap and a few missing teeth." The orc warned.
The slums were not a kind place at all, many people barely cared for their own kin. Survival of self above others.. just like with most Orcs.
"Just who has gone missing?"
"Voronwe, my friend, is missing."
Tuor was deeply hurt by his friend's disappearance. It was so weird because the elf would have said where he was about to go. So, this disappearance was suspicious.
Tuor had to find the only person who probably knew about Voronwe because that person had dealt with many disappearances in the past. At least, this was what Tuor had been told.
The name didn't ring a bell to her, but it may for a few others who kept themselves in the loop of every nefarious thing that happened in the region.
"So your friend is missing, but this fellas daughter has also gone missing? Two missing people and no leads.." It could be a coincidence, or a mistake that both had left without leaving a letter or something. But two could quickly become four, or eight, or twelve if this was something else.
"How about you go talk to him and see what he knows about his daughter, and I'll go play nice with a friend and see what he knows?"
"No leads... This is my problem, because I cannot find them. Especially my best friend, Voronwe. I am too sad for his sudden disappearance. This is unlike him."
Tuor looked around, unsure of where to go. Should he turn right or left? He didn't know what to do and he was anxious about his friend's fate. This was excruciating because he did not know whether the Elf was alive or not.
"I do not think that he was kidnapped by orcs. So, this mortal man I am looking for knows where my friend is. Or so I hope."
Viola put her hands on Tuors shoulders. It wasn't her place to get involved with the dealings of Men and Elves but this matter concerned a friend.
"Tuor, let's not jump to conclusions. Maybe he was kidnapped, maybe an emergency came up and he left without a word.. Or perhaps your friend and this fellows daughter eloped. We can't know anything for sure.."
If unpleasant orcs were somehow involved the pair were likely already in a stew, or wishing they were. "Go talk to him, I'll make an enquiry at the local pub."
“I’m counting on your familiarity with the slums to see me safely through my encounters with the lower orders.”
