The last few months of the holy year which began last July see the doors open. They would normally be be closed on St. James Day this year and not reopened until 25 July 2027. Due to COVID-19 the Pope has extended the holy year through the end of 2022. Outside of holy years, entry to the cathedral is through doors flanking the ones shown.
