Personal update: RL keeps going wild, but art heals, so I'm happy that I manage some. Slow, but here and there 🫠 I'm fine. Managing like I always do 😎 somewhere and somehow ✨ I also try to catch up notifs, I love to see how many new collabs and beautiful things happen 🤩
Currently yelling about how the ranking system in the GAR doesn’t make any sense. How was Alpha-17–one of the first ARCS and a decorated war hero—only a CAPTAIN. (He was put in charge of training the army’s most elite COMMANDERS??) I’m sure this issue has been explored at length by others but it’s still frustrating me, and therefore worth mentioning yet again.
Getting into the weeds piecing together the history of Rancor Battalion. So many accounts of the creation of the Alphas, who they were, where they were, who trained the ARCs, and what exactly happened during the battle(s) of Kamino, that it’s impossible to find a reliable source that’s completely cohesive. For instance, since Alpha was never included in the Clone Wars show, parts of his history were given to Colt with the effect of the two characters having a conflated backstory.
I’ve taken up audio notes in an attempt to organize a narrative around this time period, and I realized I could probably start a podcast. Just me talking at length about obscure Clone Wars military lore.
