BIG ARCAADE POST❗❗❗❗❗❗

SO. What is ARCAADE?

ARCAADE is a video game set in an arcade, where you play a bunch of fun minigames (With twists)

It's based on early 2010's internet culture, scene, and some 90s inspo

The idea is that you can play a bunch of fast paced minigames based on real arcade games, but you (the player) are inside the game! (So imagine instead of regular bowling its a giant fucking bowling ball)

I imagine there would be two modes: Regular and free play

Regular puts you in a room that let's you play randomized minigames back to back until you die (Imagine Regretevator)

Free play lets you explore a big arcade and interact with the actual games, so that you can choose which one you want to play (Like you find a claw machine that let's you play the claw machine minigame)

regular would be free, but you would have to spent tokens to pick a minigame, which you can earn through regular mode (The further you get the more tokens you earn)

There’s also a character to go with every game :)

The art will be a combination of a bunch of various mediums (The entire game is 3d, but the character art is in different mediums)

Currently, the only one working on the game is me; but I'm open to making a team to work on this game :)

Some random fun facts about ARCAADE :]

Polybius isn’t supposed to be at the arcade, and currently only two people know about them (Basketball Steve and Mango. Steve and Polybius have history and Mango is aware of everyone at the arcade but says nothing. It’s not her problem)

Kit is from another world, and somehow ended up in the arcade on accident. They thought Cosmic was just like them, but he’s from the arcade (his cat is a different story though)

The arcade is kind of a different world??? It exists in like a void and it’s massive. People just live there. People from other worlds can visit, like Kit; but unlike them Kit can’t leave

Polybius can’t leave his arcade machine, so they lure people over through hypnosis to either feed on their nightmares or force them to harvest souls

Cache and Cosmic are best friends :]

Cache has access to every screen in the arcade, and likes to project themself onto the most inconvenient ones (Mango’s phone, the screen in Kit’s room to annoy them)

Kane likes to “bother” Kit, in like a joking sense? He thinks it’s mutual and they’re having fun, but skit genuinely hates it

Polybius thinks only Mango knows about them, and is unaware that Basketball Steve knows about them. Steve kind of misses them
