Ambessa who in the fight scene had a stunning armour suit.

This literal queen looks like a cougar. She is giving that passionate will do everything in my power vibe.

The reason I compare her to a cougar then the more obvious choice of a lion is her fighting style. Although she does control, lead and fights alongside an army she primarily fights alone without the help of others.

This can be seen with her battling in the main fight of the war but also when she fights against both Caitlin and Mel. Despite being surrounded by her soldiers and fighting Mel who has sourcery on her side she still fights alone.

cougars are more solitary in the wild compared to lions where lionesses would plan and work as a group to hunt prey.

Hey look she got that colour scheme too - darker and grey

But she also giving the cougar in the other sense 👀

Let's not forget the local cuisine in season 1

Isha's death really was for nothing, sure she sacrificed herself but it had no positive consequences

Warwick doesn't die

And jinx ends up later dying with him, an unavoidable loss

There is no gain in the loss of an innocent child

In season 1 Mel had a flashback which was about her mother explaining how she experienced bloodshed and war as a ickle widdle child.

She said "we will paint the walls gold, import crystal chandeliers" and she suggests this as an idea of rebuilding after the noxain war.

In season 2 after the council table is blown up it is rebuilt with gold filler (which is a Japanese art form called Kintsugi).

Mel will always rebuild with gold even herself, like her design in the final battle

In this shot it looks like jinx is being chomped by teeth that resemble Warwick

This is foreshadowing her death where she "dies" along with her father at the end

Her hood when she goes to join the fight also has teeth around it
