Wait, are they cards?
weeeeeell... kinda!
since the arcanum all share the same soul, only one of the major arcana can physically manifest at a time for longer than a few minutes because they need ‘the world’ to stabilize their form! the one who manifests the most is hermit.
when the arcana are not in their physical form they return to a condensed form of light and magic, which end up looking a lot like a tarot card.
these cards you see hanging around hermit are just small projects of light and can’t actually be interacted with in any way (your hand/attacks would just phase right through it) and can’t actually be heard (because they communicate in their shared conscious). they just allow some of the other major arcana to interact independently for a few minuets when someone else is hosting to look around or sometimes cause mischief.
