Is your character at peace with himself? Why or why not?
He’s really not. He believes in himself, and is egotistical, but he is nearly incapable of being happy or satisfied without validation from others. He’s also not at peace with how far he’s fallen and all the times he’s had to compromise. He feels he’s lost the best and bravest part of himself, and though he tries to pass himself off as a pure pragmatist, he’s not happy about it. He misses the mech that even Alpha Trion said was brave, a lifetime ago.
[Just a sidenote: this meme is exceptionally hard for me because the fear of upsetting people is very real for me and has been a cause of severe anxiety attacks in the past.]

[People just don’t realize some cis people can also have dysphoria (if I’m understanding/using the term right), meaning those who yearn to feel they belong to their biological sex but struggle at it for one reason or another, and that stuff is a major cause of it for me.]

In person? After Megatron proved too stupid to fly away from an exploding space bridge, and also too lucky to die from it, I was forced to try and repair him. I had heard of a Decepticon scout stationed on Earth, one who had some dubious medical experience. I had hoped that would satisfy Soundwave while still ensuring Megatron’s demise.... We actually haven’t known each other very long, in the grand scheme of things. Why? What has he been telling you?
