“Uh…” Regulus didn’t expect Aspros to ask more questions about his ‘story’. He had to think of something… The only place he could think of was Ireland. It was not as far from Greece as he want, however, he would take some inspiration from it. “I guess… Yes, it is outside of Athens, but not from the new world. Where I live, there are a lot of cliffs overlooking the ocean. In fact, there are a lot of islands…” Now that he thought of it, while Ireland is different from Greece, they were quite similar. “But the weather is not as hot as here and it gets foggy a lot. Not only that, there are a lot of mountains. When you are older, I know saints are allowed to travel outside the Sanctuary for missions. Perhaps, I can show you where I live when you are older. It would be an adventure!” Hopefully, by then, Aspros and Defteros would have forgotten about this.
At the mention of his father and Aspros’ excitement, he also became excited. He didn’t know Aspros looked up to his father this much. In fact, it was weird to see the boy excited about where he lived and about his own father. The older Aspros he knew was nothing like this.
“Really? I don’t think he is scary at all. I don’t think any of the gold saints are scary.” Most of them were friendly when he first came to the Sanctuary. “Ilias is a little strange but he is still cool and wise and strong and amazing like you said. I met him once when he was outside of the Sanctuary. Is he here in the Sanctuary right now? I wish I can see him again. I miss him a lot…”
Regulus wanted to meet him. There were just too many things he wanted to tell his father… tell his father… he wasn’t allowed to do that, right? His father didn’t know who he was. It would be weird for him to run up to him, give him a hug and tell him everything about his life… Not only that, the chance of his father being in the Sanctuary was very slim. He didn’t know when exactly his father left the Sanctuary. Maybe, he had already left the Sanctuary. The thought of almost meeting his father but not being able to hurt him so much. He wanted to see him so badly. Regulus felt like almost crying but he held back. He needed to be strong. He was no longer that weak little boy from when he was young.
He was lost in his own thoughts and didn’t even hear Klotho excusing herself to the garden. It was not until when Aspros rushed in with some grapes and gave some to him. He blinked a few times, confused as to what happened before realizing Aspros was giving him some grapes to eat. Grapes was a better option than the stew he was given.
Regulus put a few grapes into his mouth and when Klotho came back, he simply pretended that he was eating the stew in front of him.
