Regulus looked away, pouting. He didn’t understand adults’ humour. At the mention of his eyes, Regulus looked back at Aspros in interest. It was the first that someone mentioned that his eyes were like his father. People were always pointing out that his eyes were full of life and curiosity and it was a healthy look for a child to have. His father’s eyes were filled with years of wisdom and also sorrow behind it.
Sisyphus softly smiled at the mention of Regulus’ eyes. “Yes, he does. They both had such keen eyes that can see things far beyond a normal human can see.”
As Aspros mentioned how troublesome Sisyphus was when he was younger, Regulus looked at him with curiosity while Sisyphus looked at his friend in horror.
“Aspros…” Sisyphus started, warning his friend that he better not be sharing those stories with Regulus but one glance from Aspros explained everything. Sisyphus gave him one last warning look and quietly left them. He just hoped his friend would grant him some mercy in choosing a story that doesn’t ruin his reputation too much.
Regulus did not realize his uncle had left as he was very interested in what stories Aspros was going to tell him.
“What do you mean by that?”
His uncle always seemed so mature and responsible. He could not imagine his uncle giving his father a hard time and being very troublesome when he was younger.
