DESIGN PROPOSAL_PROCESS
After preliminary jury, we held a lot of meetings to develop our project. In those meetings, while keeping the initial idea, we did some changes and improvements which are changing the square grid organization to linear stripes, deciding the functions of verticals, entries to the site and pathways, relation with the Atakule and mergence of both paths, functions and usage of natural path and addition of three functional areas to the dense part.

DESIGN PROPOSAL
Here are posters of our design proposal presentation.
While the process of finalizing and modelling our initial idea, the most difficult challenge that we faced was the slope of the site.
DESIGN PROPOSAL_PROCESS
After the desk critics we realized that metal vertical elements can be dangerous for traffic near the road and can cause temperature problems in the summer for people. In addition to that, we were not really aware of how large our site is. We understand that this amount of large area should serve to the citizens. Therefore, we made some additions and changes in our proposal which are decreasing the level of reflectivity of the verticals and re-arranging their places, and we assigned them some functions like providing light, creating sound and providing possibilities to sit or climb on them. Another critic was about the combination of the two parts of our design. We realized that we should reconsider the mergence of two different paths. As a group, after some discussions we decided that both parts should decrease their dominance and in the middle of the site there should be a neutral area.

DESIGN PROPOSAL_PROCESS
First of all we looked over our site analysis and synthesis again. The most important feature of the site is the duality of nature and built. Therefore, we decided to use this contrast between the City _man-madebuildings and Botanik Park _mother-nature. Our initial idea is using vertical elements on the city side in order to emphasize/symbolize the urban life, while using a natural, organic path on the park side in order to highlight/symbolize the pure and natural life. For the vertical elements we thought that usage of shiny metal is useful for us to give the impression of caos, density and stress of urban life. For the organic path this time we needed something natural so we chose stone to make people feel the pureness or nature.
