                                  “  NOW  THAT’S  WHAT  I  CALL  MAKING  AN  ENTRANCE  ----  !!  ”     to  be  completely  fair,   it’s  sheer  luck  that  led  to  them  escaping  the  hornet’s  nest  relatively  unscathed  &  she’s  sure  she’s  going  to  feel  it  once  the  adrenaline  wears  off,    but  for  now  laughter  bubbles  up  with  no  means  of  trapping  it  within  her  chest.    by  all  accounts,  they  failed  to  get  any  new  information  about  the  temple’s  location,   but  at  least  they  have  one  less  place  to  check  &  that  has  to  account  for  something,  right  ??    it’s  with  practised  ease  that  she  traps  lara’s  hand  in  her  own,  giving  it  a  slight  tug  to  bump  hips  together,  letting  her  head  fall  on  her  shoulder  as  she  comes  down  from  the  high.  the  hotel  room  lapses  into  a  brief  moment  of  silence,   filled  only  with  the  sound  of  laboured  breathing.       “  didn’t  think  you  could  pack  such  a  MEAN  PUNCH.  gotta  put  you  in  the  spotlight  more  often,  love.  ”       /      @archaios

1. how long have you been writing rp?

4 years! i’ve been on tumblr for 6 years, and i had a private writing blog for about 2 of them that i used as pretty much just a page for me to post all my writing or stories on. it was a mess and i was terrible lol. but i discovered the rpc community about 4 years ago.

4. what themes/tropes have you noticed recur in the characters you create/choose?

this has changed a lot over the years tbh. there was a time when i was really drawn to the golden heart, savior trope – the protagonist who suffered but saved everyone at some high personal cost. there was a phase where i was really drawn to manipulative characters. not necessarily those with bad intentions, but characters that were charming and hard to pin down due to some undertone of an identity crisis. a lot of my recent characters have been, as i love to call them, headassess – i’ve really been drawn to characters that have an open-hearted attitude towards the world. i’m not sure why these preferences change, but i definitely seem to go through phases of them.

8. what tumblr rp trends or customs do you NOT like?

hm – probably one of them is super heavily formatted threads? i have more of a live and let live stance on that, but if i can’t read the formatting then what’s the point. same with very elaborate blog themes, or hard to navigate blog themes that have lots of intricate color schemes or tid bits that i can’t navigate. those just aren’t my cup of tea.

11. are there any characters you’re longing to play but don’t know where they’d fit, or how they’d go over in the rpc?

i’ve got a whole lot of greek mythology characters i really want to release, but i don’t know where they’d fit in just yet. i think i might release them in the future once i work out the kinks!

15. what thread genres are challenging for you?

action. any threads with action in them require me to go back and edit so many times over because i’m really terrible at pacing threads and not letting the length get away from me. also, comedy? i feel like i tend to overthink those ones and end up eliminating the humor from them altogether, lol. 

19. talk about a good experience you’ve had in rp.

why not talk about this one, heyo. i was hesitant to come onto the indie game because it was intimidating and seemed lawless and hard to navigate lol. but, this blog and my old one have been an incredible experience. i’ve been able to find so many cherished writing partners and been able to write so many different types of threads – as many as my heart can desire. plus, i feel like my writing has developed and changed a lot since i first started indie so that’s been really cool to see as well :-)
