Quick Jarchie with Kid oneshot!
Okay I wrote this because of a post I saw on @paranoidbean ‘s account and I just had to write a fic.
It’s super short I wrote it in like fifteen minutes and didn’t even check for mistakes (oops)
So, here it is!
(Implied Beronica)
The first time the two had the conversation was in the middle of what was supposed to be chemistry.
The teacher had ran out, dragging a student that drank some toxic chemical for fun along with him, leaving the class to do as they pleased.
Archie ended up with his arm around Jughead, telling him stories of how he’d always wanted a little sibling, but was left an only child.
“You’re gonna be great with kids,” Jughead murmured against his shoulder, Archie’s eyes widening as he looked down at him.
“Jug,” He said, smile taking over his face as Jughead’s eyebrow quirked.
“What?” He asked, noticing the conversation Betty and Veronica were having ceased.
“You want kids?” He asked, Jughead tilting his head to the side as Archie’s arm fell from his shoulder.
“Duh, of course I want kids,” He responded, before panic crossed his features.
“Do you want kids?!” He asked, Archie gripping his hands.
“Yeah, yeah I want kids. I’d love kids,” He responded, Veronica sighing with a smile.
“Do you two need to have this conversation right now?” She asked, both turning to her.
“Yes,” They responded in unison, before looking back at each other.
“How many?” Jughead questioned, Archie humming gently in thought.
“Two or three,” He answered, Jughead lightly smiling.
“Yeah, yeah, me too,” It continued on from that.
“Hey, Jug?” Archie questioned, after their conversation had drawn off.
“Yeah?”
“I love you,”
“Love you too, Arch,”

There were a lot of tears, 5 years later, when Betty offered to be their surrogate.

“Papa?” Jughead stirred, blinking his eyes open to look at his daughter. The four year old was leaning against his bed, fiddling with a stuffed bunny in her hands.
“What’s up, Lovely?” He questioned, smoothing his hand over her hair.
Archie moved a bit, arm falling over Jughead’s waist and pulling him closer.
“Stay up past bed time, you Trouble Maker?” He asked, voice a bit muffled by Jughead’s shoulder.
Veronica giggled, shaking her head.
“No, I couldn’t fall asleep,” She responded, as Jughead’s eyes flashed to the clock, which read 1:24 am.
“You sure you weren’t drawing?” Archie asked, her shaking her head with another giggle.
“Nope!” She popped the ‘p’, Jughead smiling gently at his family’s antics.
“What d’you say we watch a movie until you fall asleep?” Archie offered, sitting up.
“Finding Dory!” The young girl responded, tugging on Jughead’s wrist.
“Finding Dory, Finding Dory, Finding Dory!” She chanted, Jughead sitting up with a nod.
“Finding Dory,” He responded, her smile growing wider.
“Yay!” She exclaimed, jumping up and down.
“Why don’t you go grab your Dory plush? We’ll meet you in a second,” Archie offered, her face beaming as she ran to her room.
“Great job, Dad, now she won’t ever fall asleep,” Jughead joked, as Archie slithered his hands around his waist.
“Please, does it matter? Remember all the all-nighters you pulled in highschool?” He lightly kissed his husband’s shoulder blade, Jughead letting out a snort.
“In highschool. V is only four, she hasn’t even started school,” He responded, as Archie moved beside him.
“So we’ve got to make it last. We’ve only got a few months left before the next twelve years of her life are filled with utter shit,” He reminded, taking Jughead’s hand, thumb gently grazing the gold band around his ring finger.
“I guess you’re right,” Jughead shook his head, before leaning it against Archie’s shoulder.
“I was right, y’know?” He asked, Archie pulling his hand to his lips to place a short kiss against it.
“About what? And don’t say everything, because that is completely false,” Jughead snorted, shaking his head.
“Back in highschool, when I said you’d be great with kids,” He answered, Archie lightly chuckling.
“You remember that conversation?” His brows were raised as he stared down at the brunette.
“Of course I do,” Jughead responded, allowing Archie to close the gap between them.
He kissed back gently, before he heard their daughter’s run down the hall.
“Daddy, can you make popcorn?!” She called, as Archie pulled Jughead up from the bed.
“Of course, Pumpkin!” He responded, Jughead allowing Archie to pull him into the living room.
“Hey, Arch?” He looked at him, as Archie went for the kitchen.
“Yeah, Juggy?” He asked, Jughead gently smiling as he picked Veronica up.
“I love you,” He said, before looking down at their daughter.
“And I love you,” He kissed her head, her looping her arms around her neck.
“I love you too, Papa!” She giggled, as Archie walked over to the two.
“I love both of you,” He hummed, pulling his family into an embrace.
They fell asleep on the couch, Veronica settled between the two as the movie played in the background. Betty and Veronica would find the family the next morning, smiling gently to themselves before waking them up.
Jughead and Archie were displeased with the awakening, wanting to go straight back to bed.
Veronica was just ecstatic to see ‘Aunty Betty and Aunty V’.
(Especially when Veronica told them she was getting inseminated with her and Betty’s first kid).

Jughead not eating
Archie caring so much about Jughead not eating is honestly one of the best things that happened since “I picture us moving to New York together”
