It was a definite leap of faith, but once the building started to collapse, she only had so much time to react. Usually she would have an Iron Woman suit or two around to catch them both but unfortunately for them, they were too far out for any of her suits to rush out to her. Especially since she was already pulling Tsura into her arms and jumping out of the nearest window. And thankfully they weren’t fifteen stories up, though it was still a drop, but hey, there were bushes below so on the bright side that would break the fa – !
Ow ow, no, nope, that was not a pleasant bush to drop into. She could already feel the thorns sticking into her legs and sides.
“Yikes, didn’t…didn’t expect that, how’re you feeling?”
Once the building’s structure began to fail on them (no thanks to an explosion that one of them caused), Tsura was looking to Tasha, as if she would know what to do in the situation. They found themselves unable to move, the fear of the situation paralyzing them as they watched Tasha with wide eyes before she rushed at them.
It was too fast for them to really register what was going on, but they finally came back when they could feel themselves falling. Their wings tried to function, fluttering to try and get them both to safety, but the second or two they had wasn’t enough to lift them away.
And while they were expecting a pretty hard fall, they weren’t expecting the extra pricks in their skin an sticking through their clothes.
‘I’m... I’m okay? I think.’
