Alissa White-Gluz appreciation post
Does any other arch enemy fan ever sit back and think of how Alissa White-Gluz and her music has been such a staple and soundtrack to their life? I was thinking about it today, and how throughout my rough time her music has been there for me.
When I was starting high school, I was listening to her album Will to Power and singing her songs. I was depressed the whole time and at one point the band was my only escape from my bullshit reality.
The first song I listened to was The Eagle Flies Alone and to this day I still listen to it. I felt nearly every word of every song. Her music has seen me through the days when I was still trying to figure out who I was.
Now I’m in my senior year of high school getting ready to graduate next year, and I listen to War Eternal every day when I walk to class.
People, places, things in my life have come and gone, but Alissa's music has always been there. I don’t have a lot of things I can say this about, and I’m sure many others feel this way. I know it’s unbelievably cheesy to say, but I think my life story would be different without the music she’s given us.
