Old college friend, first crush (unrequited or UTP), former best friend that’s drifted apart and now work in similar professional circles. The pair are close out of a shared background and necessity in a cutthroat industry. Isiah is Archie’s silent partner and no one is aware of his involvement.
Former college football star turned art dealer after a blown knee. Met Archie during his ‘recovery’ period and the two were fast friends up until Archie vanished before graduation with little warning. Son of a well known sports family and struggles to gain his father’s approval. Didn’t know Archie was the son of another ‘old money’ family like his own and was angry at first when Archie pulled strings to get him his first job as a curator. Since then his anger has tempered but he’s one of the few people that knows how vicious Archie can be underneath the polite smile. Has helped on more than a few occasions to ‘clean up’ the fallout of business deals gone awry. Frequently jokes that Archie has “become his grandfather’s legacy” and picks fights out of frustration that his friend has chosen a path he swore he’d never take. One of the rare few people that knows the darker underbelly of Maycroft Imports but is loyal to a fault after Archie went out of his way to help his sister. Isiah is aware of Bee and Matthew since Archie would never shut up about them but it’s UTP how he feels about the fact Archie kept him hidden from Bee and Matthew. Somewhat of a trickster at times and dangerously charming. Used to doing ‘messy’ jobs for Archie since he can get away with more than most due to his ability to talk his way through anything and everything. Always gets underestimated by everyone except Archie and is actually fairly vicious in his own right, Isiah is just good at covering up things. To this day one of the rare few Archie genuinely respects and doesn’t put on the polite mask.
Isiah’s background is UTP but includes these narrative elements:
- The Montgomery family is old money and former competitors with Maycroft-Henrys until Archie began his slow takeover. Isiah is not opposed and supported him as a silent partner.
- Isiah is extremely protective of his little sister Miranda and college was not kind. Neither was he.
- Archie cut ties first. It was only when Isiah looked for a job did they meet again and Archie pretended not to know Isiah despite pulling strings after his application. Isiah is unaware of the lengths Archie went to give him that opportunity as an Imports Curator.
- The Montgomery bloodline is old and they hold grudges. Parts of the family do not approve of Isiah as a direct result of his support of a Maycroft. UTP how Isiah feels about this, Archie has made a point of quietly undermining any businesses of those more vocal and makes sure Isiah knows before he goes through with it.
- Isiah gives the illusion of being some dopey jock but he is just as vicious as Archie can be which is why those in the seedier side of Maycroft Imports have come to jokingly call him Archie’s Enforcer.
- Isiah does not know about the abuse Archie has suffered at the hands of Rowan Reed, Amaya Langston, or Archie’s step-father Lawrence Maycroft. He suspects something but could never be sure. UTP if Isiah will bring it up or what he’s observed thus far.

Preferably this would be a freshly written bio that ties in at certain points to Archie’s background! So getting in contact with me prior to application would be best so we can smooth any details etc since the pair are on again off again best friends and Isiah is the closest person to Archie and knows him best outside of a romantic sense.
