Hey, I saw your awesome Supercorp Body Swap fan art based off that ficlet & I loved it! I also thought of a follow up you could do for it (if you like it & want to) — Kara & Lena (while they’re still swapped) exchange clothes! Lena dresses Kara’s body in her usual million dollar business attire, while Kara (in Lena’s body) wears a (Beebo themed?) sweater with jeans. And when they see each other, they’re completely shocked. I threw in some dialogue just for fun (you can ignore it, if it’s too much lol).

Lena (in Kara): “Please tell me you just stayed at my penthouse?!”

Kara (in Lena): “Well... no. Your assistant called & asked me to come in & sign some papers.”

Lena (in Kara): “Oh, god!”

Kara (in Lena): “Well, what about you?!! What did everyone say at CatCo about... ‘my’ new look?”

Lena (in Kara): “Everyone loved it! ...Though, Andrea wants ‘you’ to cover National City’s Fashion Week now instead of Nia. Which reminds me... Nia’s not speaking to ‘you’ at the moment.”

While we’re talking body swap, people getting used to the tiny changes that take a while to pinpoint. Someone going “Aha! I usually crane my neck down to look at you, but now I’m looking up and that’s why you seem to look slightly different!”

Someone with cilantro yum taste buds swapping with someone with cilantro dirt/soap taste buds.

Experiencing someone else’s muscle memory.

“I’m leaving!” “You can’t drive that motorcycle!” “And why not?” “You don’t have your license!” “:o >:(“

A partner swapping into a short body and learning that their kitchen has had a step stool.

Lena in Kara’s body finding Kara in her body sleeping every new time she encounters her. Kara: You just live like this?? You are always this tired?? How do you ever stay awake?? Lena: I’m supposed to be doing things! Stop sleeping! Kara: you’re welcome for giving your body rest!!

For the Cobra Kai Halloween Prompts: Science Gone Wrong! Perhaps Dimitri’s science project on the function of brainwaves, malfunctions around Sam & Tory causing either amnesia, a personality transfer or full on body swap? If you want to make it creepy or scary as can be, base it off our discussions, or both, go ahead. But in all honesty, what could be scarier than being turned into the very person that you despise the most?

Ooh that would be interesting! I’m definitely gonna have Demetri as responsible for whatever happens, and a body swap...oh BOY 😂 especially if it happens before 3x10 and potentially changes things as a result!

Since it’s the 14th prompt on that list, I’ll write it on October 14th! 💞

I just had this thought/idea about Season 2 of Stargirl: What if somehow the Eclipso diamond winds up in Courtney’s possession? And because Starman has returned and demanded that Courtney turn over the Cosmic Staff to him, Eclipso is able to bring out Courtney’s dark side and she becomes the shocking big bad of the final episodes of the season. She could even fight and defeat Starman while like this. Meanwhile, Cindy, who had a horrible experience with the diamond early on in the season teams up with the JSA to stop evil Courtney just because she wants to get revenge on Eclipso. But evil Courtney is so powerful from holding the diamond that Cindy has to use the Cosmic Staff to fight evil Courtney and at this moment she’s actually worthy of it! Cindy is able to to defeat evil Courtney, but not before Eclipso is released from the diamond. Courtney, who is freed from Eclipso’s control, reteams with the JSA and they manage to defeat Eclipso, but Starman actually get killed during the fight. Courtney blames herself and decides to quit being Stargirl and gives the Cosmic Staff to Cindy, because Courtney now feels that Cindy is more worthy of using it than her, shocking all of the JSA. Cindy smugly accepts it and asks Courtney for her Stargirl costume too, because number one: she really wants to make Courtney feel even worse, and number two, because if she’s going to be the Cosmic Staff’s new owner she might as well look the part. In the series most heartbreaking moment, Courtney gives Cindy her staff and uniform naming Cindy the new Stargirl. The JSA refuse to accept Cindy though, except for their newest member Jade (Green Lantern’s daughter). So, Cindy and Jade decide to form their own JSA, starting by recruiting Cameron, who had just learned the truth about his father. With the final scene being Cindy suited up as Stargirl, telling Cameron: “It’s time that Justice got a serious makeover.” And that’s the cliffhanger to hold us over until next season. What do you think about this idea/theory? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this?!

You know, that would be a compelling idea for the beginning of a Cindy truce with the JSA, so to speak, while still being a villain for Courtney?? But evil!Courtney would make me so sad and I cannot imagine Yolanda ever letting something like Cindy taking her staff and costume go without a big challenge. The idea of others being in possession of the diamond is something I think WILL happen in s2 though and it would be pretty crazy. Like, I do think Courtney would not stay possessed (especially because her family would fight like hell to get her back).

Hey, could you write a Supergirl fanfic where Nia’s powers malfunction and causes her and Kara to switch bodies for a week? And Nia has to cover several huge interviews as Kara and accept a couple of awards on Kara’s behalf, while she also gets to experience how awesome but difficult being Supergirl is. Meanwhile, Kara struggles with Nia’s daily life: being a rookie reporter all over again, dealing with trans haters, dating Brainy, and having to attend and save Nia’s family reunion.

“As of yet, I am... unsure how to fix the problem,” Brainy had said when Kara and Nia had gone up to him, both stumbling and unsure in their swapped bodies. “I will research it, but until then, I’m afraid you must remain as you are.”

That was almost a week ago, and Kara isn’t sure she can take much more of this.

“I forgot how much people talk over you when you’re a rookie,” she groans to Nia, burying her face in the couch pillows in her loft. Both she and Nia have been staying there since the swap, since Nia was convinced Yvette would notice something was up immediately. So far, they’ve mostly avoided suspicion by avoiding people in general, so it was probably a smart plan.

“Oh yeah, it’s really weird that people care about my opinions now that they think I’m you,” Nia agrees. “And I still feel kinda bad about that award. You should have been the one to accept it.”

“Honestly, I wasn’t looking forward to that whole ceremony, so you were welcome to it,” Kara replies. “What I feel bad about is having to kiss your boyfriend so your coworkers wouldn’t think you’d broken up.”

Nia snickers. “Honestly, that was kinda funny. You both looked so awkward!”

“It was really awkward,” Kara agrees. “But not as awkward as your family reunion will be if Brainy doesn’t fix us before that.”

“Well, you can bring me along as a friend, if you don’t mind the fact that people will think we’re dating,” Nia says.

“We could bring Brainy too?” Kara suggests feebly.

“Then people will just gossip more about what’s going on with the three of us.”

Kara groans. “Great.”

“Oh, and also, I might have made a sleep pun last night while I was out as Supergirl? So if anyone asks, you can just say Dreamer is rubbing off on you.”

Kara snorts. “Do you just make lists of those before you go out on patrol?”

“What? No!”

“Really?”

“...Sometimes.”

Kara laughs. Nia pouts. “They’re my brand!”

“Sure they are.”

“They are! You just don’t get it because you can’t figure out my powers.”

“I think your body can tell that it’s not you in it,” Kara says, looking down at Nia’s hands. “Your powers are more spiritual than mine. It makes sense that they wouldn’t work right.”

“Well, hopefully Brainy gets this figured out soon,” Nia says. “Then I can get my body and my powers back, and you can get your body and your powers back, and everything can go back to normal.” She sighs, slouching on the couch. “I really want things to go back to normal. Your life is stressful.”

“I just don’t want to go to your family reunion and insult everyone because they think I’ve forgotten them.”

Nia shrugs. “Honestly, I probably have forgotten half of them. My dad’s whole extended family always shows up to these things, but the last time I saw a lot of them was when I was about ten, so you’d probably do about as well as I would.”

“Still, it’ll be easier if it’s fixed,” Kara says. “And it’ll also make showering a lot easier, because it’s hard to wash myself without looking.”

“Oh my god, I didn’t want to say anything, but same.”

Do you know of any Supercat Fic where Kara and Cat either swap bodies, clothes, personalities, or jobs that are long or have multi-chapters. I'm really looking for one where Cat really gets to be Supergirl for a while and Kara gets to be CEO of Catco. I love those type of stories and would love to see that happen on the actual tv show. I mean can you imagine seeing them play each other's roles? It would be awesome. But until then, I would really love to read a good fanfic with that plot.

I definitely agree! I would love to see more fic that has them pretending to be each other. The idea of Kara trying to pulling off Cat’s snark is hilarious to me. Also imagining Cat biting her tongue every five minutes not to say something mean.

Alas, I only know of one fic that really fits this:

Heart Like a Four-poster Bed by Care ( @maladyofthequotidian ). Upside, it’s decently long and wonderfully written. You get to see a little bit of Cat Grant as Supergirl and Kara trying to be Cat.

Once you get it, it stays with you by Shi_Tsu This fic does have a body swap and Cat getting Kara’s powers but it’s pretty short and we don’t see Kara being CEO.

There are a couple of other options that have Cat getting or having superpowers through whatever means. They’re not quite what you’re looking for but they’re all fantastic and I would definitely recommend them:

Vigilante Cat runs into trouble. Kara…..helps.  It’s amazing and manages to rip your guts out but also be very sweet and charming. 

I don’t know of any fic that do anything with Kara trying to pretend to be Cat but:In Another Life by SuperCatTrashhh (GeneralBFA) has Kara, who didn’t get stuck in the phantom zone, as CEO instead of Cat. It’s really interesting because Kara has a lot of traits that are normally associated with Cat in this one.  WIP. 

If you’re interested there are several other fic that have Cat having powers of some sort but I stuck to the ones where she’s basically a superhero. Let me know if you’d like some of the others ;)

Hi, I love Supercat and Superlane fanfics. I've heard a lot about on Supercat fix called "Things your body wasn't meant to do" where Kara and Cat switch bodies after Astra captures Kara. I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Every time that I click a link I get a page saying that the story doesn't exist anymore. Do you know where I can find this fic or one where Kara and Lucy switch bodies?

That fic was actually one of mine, just a first chapter. I deleted it in the end because it was early on and I really wasn’t happy with it, sorry!

I don’t know Superlane fic very well, but if anyone else knows?
