Month of Spreads Day 25: The Friendship Finder. This is the last week of the October Divination Challenge and I have brought out my favorite oracle deck for this week’s challenges, the “Super Awesome Future Fortune Cards” from Archie McPhee. These are sold as a novelty/gag gift item BUT they are probably the most spot on deck I have ever worked with. ❤❤❤ Some of these cards work with each other and this spread is a perfect example. In the top row, The Flame impacts the cards close to it which is The Dogs and Illness has a special meaning when next to The Dogs.
1. What block am I facing in regards to making friends? The Flame - This card lessens the importance of the card next to it. In this case, The Dogs, which is Friendship. So my block is not making friendships with the right people, being burnt out from negative friendships.
2. How can I overcome this block? The Dogs - The friendship card. Learn to trust and depend on your friends.
3. What kind of people do I need in my life? Illness - As mentioned above, in conjunction with The Dogs it means a loss of friendship and given its proximity to The Flame it means I need to let go of those negative friendships and cultivate more positive people.
4. Where can I go about finding such people? The Moon - This is the dreams and intuition card. It says, trust your heart on this subject and also reconfirms the general theme of trust.
5. What first step can I take today to be a friend to someone else? The King - Leadership, actively take the first steps of becoming a friend to someone else. Don’t wait around for them to come to you.
6. How can I open myself up to the idea of receiving friendship from others? Lightning - Surprise, the cards aren’t telling. Or they are saying to just be ready because you don’t know when the opportunity will arise.
