For this assignment you will create a presentation based on the career of your choice. There is a list of careers attached, but everyone has to choose a different one. Once you have chosen your career, and have gotten the teacher’s approval, you will have to find somebody and interview them. You use use this interview as a basis for your assignment. How you will be marked is on the rubric on the back of the page.
Sapphire already hated this assignment. The one day that the class had to pick the jobs from the list, the girl had to be sick in bed, practically dying from a cold. When she walked into her civics and careers class the next day, her teacher informed her of the assignment, giving the sheet explaining what she had to do and an extra day to work on it, due to her begin ill.
Tired eyes scanned the paper, seeing that the only job left was an architect. Now where was she supposed to find an architect? Her pop definitely didn’t know when, since he studied animal habitats, and not human habitats. If only she hadn’t been sick, Sapphire would have been able to pick an animal researcher, and just interview her pop.
Once Sapphire got the chance, she googled where the nearest architect was using the school computers. Apparently at Enyo College there were a bunch of architect majors. Any one of them would be perfect for Sapphire’s project! Even though the college was in a different district than Brockgrove S. S., she could probably get there easily using the subway.
After printing out a bunch of maps to make she wouldn’t get lost, Sapphire boarded the subway and got off in front of Enyo. Now all she had to do was find someone majoring in architecture... The girl sniffled, still not completely over her cold. Oh well, she’d just get some rest later.
“Hey! Could ya help me out?” she rushed to the nearest person she saw. “I’m looking for someone that knows a thing or two about architects. Do ya know anybody?”
