Apps every architecture student should have
Here is a list of some software apps that every architecture student should have (beside the design programs), so that his life would be so much more easier....
(I cant believe that I forgot this in my drafts)
Trust me with this one, SHARING IS EVERYTHING in our field, that's why, this one is on the top of the list.
It syncs folders—that’s it. But what makes Dropbox amazing is the sheer number of different ways you can use that functionality, by itself or in conjunction with other programs, to improve your computing experience.
I don't use this app for the editing possibilities, only for viewing pictures ... the best way to look at pics.
With the opening of the Chrome Web Store, there are thousands of cool and useful apps, especially since Autodesk connected with Google and relished the AutoCAD WS and Homestyler. You'll find great designing apps, documenting, presentation etc. + You've got yourself a fast and cool browser.
This is a pretty low tech app for my taste, but is useful as hell. I don't know how legal is to download this app form the link that I gave you, because when I went on the official website I saw that it was removed cos' of ToS. Anyway...
Using this software you can navigate to a specific location on Google Maps and select an area for which you would like to create a map. In lots of cases you can print out your map directly from the Google website but sometimes the map you want is just too big to fit onto one screen. Using this software you can select an area (a town, a state etc) at a zoomed-out level - then create a large image at a more zoomed-in level, and this program will stitch the images together for you. In seconds you can create a large .png image of either the street maps or satellite images of an entire city - at the highest zoom level. So when you print large formats, you google images, made print-screen, won't look like shit.
5. .... I can't think of any more, but if you have some useful apps just SUBMIT them.
