This question was asked of me today, and now I’m throwing it at some of my mutuals:
What's your favorite part of your practice- or the part that brings you the most warmth and comfort?
This is @pagan-stitches btw, it won’t let me change it to my side-blog that’s really my primary blog 🙄
Great ask! My favourite part of my practice is reading and hearing the folk tales, and gleaning expressions, inspiration for spellwork, and folk beliefs hidden in the narrative. It inspires my view on local spirits, tools to use, nature, and it brings me warmth knowing that my ancestors also enjoyed listening to folk tales. The more tales I hear and read, the more rich my practice becomes. It goes beyond the liturgical catholic calendar, and gives it a localized feel.
Knowing what kind of activities and beliefs Acadians did during certain moon phases and tidal movements, it helps my practice go beyond the ‘witchcraft 101’ moon phase meanings and it helps me feel more connected to my practice.
Using my rosary as a pendulum is also peak 💖
