(2021) Take a look at the 2008-2009 Nike Dunk High Heavens Gate which were themed and based around one of the more bizarre “true crime” stories of 1997. March of that year, authorities found 38 members of the Heavens Gate cult dead: all were laying under purple sheets and each wearing brand new Nike Decades as seen in the photo above. In more recent times, this event was also the inspiration behind Lil Uzi Vert’s “Eternal Atake” album. Both the original pairs and the scrapped Dunk Highs can fetch a pretty penny.

(2021) Sneaker-heads and anime fans listen up, Nike SB is teaming up with Gundam / Bandai to release a special edition Dunk High in two colorways inspired by the armor suit design for the “Unicorn” and “Banshee” alongside SB branded action figures.
