✈️: your muse is going away for a time and says goodbye to my muse or vice versa
the summer was over. amelia had to return home even though all she wanted to do was stay. she had found a boy whom she gave her heart, her body and every other piece of her that she possibly could. her father didn’t understand that she was in love. that she had found the boy she could see herself with for the rest of her life. no, he wanted her home, back under his roof and following his rules once more. it was a miracle her parents had let her stay in town all summer and she knew that couldn’t push it by asking for even a day more. with tears in her eyes and hands shaking, amelia said her final goodbyes. “these last few months have been the best months of my entire life. i don’t know if we’ll ever see each other again, but i won’t ever forget you odin sorensen.”
▲: how our muses first met
how on earth she had convinced her hard-headed parents to let their fifteen year old daughter spend a summer in some random little beach town was beyond her. but she did it. and there she was, walking the boardwalk and taking in the view. she’d enver been anywhere quite like st. pete’s before and she loved it all. the sea salt in the air, the warm breeze coming from the water, the tanned bodies of those who contributed to the summer population, it was all amazing. she’d been walking along the shore for a while, just enjoying the feeling of being free and away from her parents, minding her own business. the sun was starting to set on her first day of freedom and amelia had only then realized that she was a bit lost. walking back up the beach and away from the water, the young woman’s eyes were on her phone, trying to use her gps to find her way back to the hotel when she tripped, toppling over into the sand. cursing under her breath, she tossed her hair back, collecting the spilled contents of her purse when she saw another, larger set of hands mimicing her actions just beside her. lifting her gaze, it was as if the sky had opened up and the sun beamed directly on him. “uh, thanks.” she spoke softly, rising to her feet and shoving her belongings into her bag before extending her hand to the handsome man. “i’m amelia.”
