Made a new test comic. This time I'm focused on Arcobella. I wanted to use this as opporunity to develop Moonstone and both cherubs in general. As well as go more in depth about the continent's school system (Particularly Shining Stars Academy.). So I decided ro make this test comic focused on his school days. I'll go more indepth about Shining Star Academy in the next Arcobella/Cherub lore post. So I hope ya'll will be excited for that.

Arcobella/Cherub Lore#1- The Four Types of Arcobella Crystals

Hey ya'll! Hope you're all having a great 2024 so far. I wanted to share some Arcobella lore with you today. Because this continent was all I could think about the past few weeks. Starting with something that I came up with very recently: The Arcobella Crystals!

As the title implies, Arcobella crystals are a type of gem/mineral that can be found only in Arcobella. They are divided into four separate categories based off their shape, cut/facet, colors, and what abilities they boost. The crystal will only reveal itself to the cherub destined to have it when they deem themselves worthy and ready. And the type of crystal they get depends on the cherub's abilties.

Offense Crystals are for cherubs who are more combative in their use of their magic. Those who are assigned this crystal see a significant boost in their fighting abilities. And become more durable and stronger heavy hitters. Offense crystals have a hexagonal facet and are typically red, yellow, and orange in color.

Defense Crystals are for cherubs who's magic is more focused on protection and security. Those who are assigned this crystal will be able to create more powerful barriers and shields, as well as seeing a boost in their offensive skills for self defense. Defense crystals have a triangular facet and are typically blue, purple, and green in color.

Evasion Crystals are for cherubs who use their magic for more secretive work (Ex: Espionage). Those who are assigned this crystal get a boost in their agility, an increase in speed, and the ability to create realistic illusions and disguises. Evasion crystals are diamond shaped and are typically black, white, and gray in color.

Healing Crystals are for cherubs who specialize in tending to the sick and wounded. Those who are assigned this crystal gain access to all knowledge of different potions, medicines, etc. As well as unlocking more healing abilities from their own magic. Healing crystals are circle shaped like pearls and opals, and they're typically pink, peach, and brown in color.

What is the name of The Phoenix Wielder Star Cherub? And does their descendant inherit one ability from the Phoenix wielder?

I currently don't have a name for their wielder at this time. But I can tell you about their descendants.

These are the girls. The long haired girl is named Venus Sunrise. She is a star cherub who's family is famous for their powerful sun magic and healing abilities. She's apart of the Fourth Division. The red plump girl is named Phillia Heartmoon Venus's half sister born from an illicit affair. Don't want to go too much into her right now, since I'm still developing her. But let's just say that there's some bad blood between them. So expect some drama ahead. But I'll save that for when I make their mini and full bios and update their meet pics.

Do Arcobella have Phoenix theme or any thing related to Phoenix like crafts, arts, writing, or inventions inspired by the phoenix?

I'd say the closest they have to a Phoenix-themed/Phoenix-inspired memorabilia they have is a local legend known as Stars & Flames. It's about a star cherub who befriends a mysterious firebird who arrived in Arcobella during one of the continent's coldest and darkest winters in history. The continent was suffering from a severe lack of light and heat as the nights were long and the stars in the sky were burned out due to the cold temperatures. Unsurprisingly, this had a major impact on Arcobella's resources. Especially their food, water, and housing. The star cherub and the phoenix decided to work together to help Arcobella survive the rest of winter. And with hard work and combining their abilities, they managed to save Arcobella from becoming a forgotten frozen wasteland.

The exact identities of both the phoenix and the star cherub have long been forgotten over time. But the story has inspired many artists, writers, and other creatives throughout Arcobella. And still has a major impact to this day.

Does it have something to do with the dimension, Arcobella that froppy-butterflyfan2000 mentioned in her ToM Future AU stories?

Sort of. It's mainly just one piece of a larger puzzle. Also, update: Arcobella is no longer a dimension. It's a continent now.

Pick two of your characters. If they were in Avatar, what kind of bender would they be and what fighting style would they have?

Chosen Characters: Venus and Aquamarine

I'd say Venus would most likely be a firebender. While she's more of a healer than a fighter, her fighting style would be similar to combustion bending. But instead of a channeling her chi to her head, she would channel it to her fingertips and launch her attacks in a similar style to Rei Hino/Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon. Particularly her Fire Soul and Burning Mandala attacks.

For Aquamarine, I see her as a waterbender. And her fighting style would be more defensive in nature and can shape the water surrounding her into anything she wants or needs to assist her. Similar to Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe. I also see her having healing abilities like Katara.

Any other species from Arcobella?

Aside from the cherubs, which are the dominant species in Arcobella, there's also the angels, the deer satyrs, the cyclops, The starfay and the cloudees There's also small communities of species from outside of Arcobella who immigrated there for whatever reason. Notable examples are : Waterfolk, Demons, Tieflings, and Septarians.

By friend as in The Star Cherub is bonded to the Phoenix and became one of the Phoenix wielder that the MHC crystallized?

Yeah. Though most of Arcobella don't know about nor understand how a Phoenix bond works. So they usually just say the star cherub befriended the phoenix.
