❛ you risked so much for me. why would you do such a thing? ❜
various things spoken in an adventuring party pt.3
"It's nothing." was his nearly immediate response, glancing at Kisara through the corner of his sight. Why had he done that? If he were honest he wasn't entirely sure why he had even bothered helping her in that moment. There was just some sort of feeling that told him it was meant to be done.
He crossed his arms, looking forward once more, pushing the thoughts away. He couldn't think about such things too long before it gave him a headache and made him...question things. "Don't think too hard on it." He added simply.
🌛 & ❤ (Only if you'd be comfortable to discuss!)
[OOC: Sure I can]
Are you okay? ❜

Like the flick of a switch, the CEO's mind surfaced from a state of near-stupor, becoming aware of the fact that, for a brief period of time now, he had been staring. The realization that accompanied such unprecedented development transformed into disconcertment that, if only for a fleeting moment, disturbed the steel fortification that encompassed his ice-cold self-possession. Though this disruption was evanescent, the same could not be said about the irksome sense of familiarity that her mere image exuded, lingering like fog after a rainstorm; her mien and demeanor an exact replica to that of someone he had seen before.
It was the utter ridiculousness of such a likelihood that led him to discard it almost entirely, forcing his initial impression of her to the back of his mind. He hadn't the time nor desire to engage any further in such absurd rumination.
❛ Hayashi Kisara, is it not ? ❜ His voice betrayed an assertive tone rather than an interrogative one. He chose to ignore her question altogether, as he was disinclined to providing a response to it. In the same manner, he omitted further introductions. The widespread exposure that came as a result of his position as head of Kaiba Corporation, made the more old-fashioned forms of self-introduction redundant, particularly when in the premises of an event hosted by his company. Everyone there knew who he was. Even though he had attended as an observer and not a participant, his mere presence at the event had been enough to ensure the attendance of a large crowd of duelists and public alike.
It wasn't her solid duelist profile that had led Seto to approaching her before the tournament's opening ceremony though, but rather the information shared by a subordinate about her artistic skill, coupled with a photograph of a sketch which Seto assumed had been taken from social media, and that had succeeded at catching his attention. It was that same sketch that he showed her then, the image displayed in highest quality over the screen of his phone.
❛ Did you make this ? ❜ The question escaped his lips in characteristic business-like manner.
Not me reading over some of the rp's from my followers on the dash and screaming and or clapping my hands at how good they all are.

Echoes of Destiny
Kisara's breath hitched as she found herself once again suspended in the echoes of her past, an ethereal realm that existed only in the realm of dreams. In this shadowy expanse, memories coalesced, flickering images of a bygone era, a life long gone but never forgotten.
The scent of ancient sand and stone lingered in the air as she stood in the company of Seto, his presence a spectral echo beside her. The moment was suspended, the weight of destiny hanging heavy in the air.
A shiver ran down her spine as the scene shifted, the tranquility giving way to chaos. The onslaught of memories, vivid and haunting, washed over her—fleeting flashes of a kingdom in turmoil, the clash of powers, and the inevitability of fate.
A whispered promise, a quiet understanding, a shared glance laden with unspoken emotions—those moments of silent communion held within the bounds of destiny itself.
And then, the unforgiving cruelty of a sacrifice made in silence.
The dreamscape shuddered, the specter of her past life dissolving into fragments. Kisara jolted awake, her breaths ragged, the memory of her past life's sacrifice leaving an inexplicable ache in her heart.
