Noire felt helpless as she stood in front of the freezer at the grocery store near her apartment. She could hardly tell the difference between most of the food aside from the packaging, and since she only partially understood the cooking instructions she was afraid of picking up anything to advanced. Of course, she had to pick something to eat. This was quickly becoming a highly stressful shopping expedition.
She tittered nervously as she looked between the two boxes of pizza’s in her hands, nearly about to give up on this particular adventure and just pick up on cereal when she saw an oddly familiar face at the end of the aisle inspecting a tub of ice cream. Noire looked down at the pizza’s one last time before shoving them back in the freezer. She needed to investigate this first.
“Robin? Is that you? Ah, I didn’t expect to see you around...”

Reimu was about to rudely dismiss the strangely clothed passerby as just another weirdo (she’d her fill of those), when she caught eye of the book in his hand. It’s appearance was awfully similar to the sorcery books she’d seen the mages back in Gensokyo page through so often, maybe even like the youma books at Suzunaan. If it was the latter, it was dangerous, exactly something the shrine maiden had hoped to not encounter upon coming here.
「 Hey, 」 she says, suddenly at the stranger’s side. 「 What kind of book is that? 」

Ah, perhaps it’d be better if she spoke to him in person...?

“Oh no! Are you okay?” Aoko was totally not freaking out. Okay, maybe a little. Or a lot. Who knows, she was always like this.
She crouched down to inspect the now-tiny Robin, thankful that she had spotted him and not stepped on him.
(Also thankful that she was wearing pants at the moment.)
“Uh, uuuuuh, is there a way to change you back? It’s not permanent, is it?” Okay, now she was freaking out. “Don’t worry, I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine! Just- don’t get stepped on!”

“Eh-? A tactician? Really?!”
Aoko was learning quickly that most people weren’t how they appeared, and Robin was no exception. She had first assumed him to be a mild-mannered type of person, somebody she could befriend and who was easy to be around.
