  Night in the city was something special. Even though the sky was dark, all the buildings were lit up, lighting the streets for the people walking through it. Seryou had trouble sleeping and figured that a change of scenery could help him with his insomnia. And it’s also something he hadn’t done before since moving to Koi. He told himself he wouldn’t wander too far from his apartment complex, but somehow he still ended up in a part of the city he wasn’t familiar with. 

  First thing he did was access the map on his phone, only to discover that it had died. For how long, he couldn’t tell, but so much for having a relaxing stroll. Trying to find his way himself proved to be futile. Luckily, Seryou spotted a girl that could hopefully help him out of this dilemma. “Excuse me, would you know the way to the Cappuccino Apartments?”

Admittedly, Seere still was getting used to this fascinating new city. She enjoyed exploring new areas, and was already creating a mental map of the city. However, it seemed she had taken a wrong turn and ended up lost. It seemed she still had some exploring to do; she was honestly surprised to see how big this city was. She tilted her head and scrunched her eyebrows, hoping to locate a familiar landmark without prevail. She stood pondering for a couple of minutes before a voice came from behind her.

She turned around, surprised and slightly startled. In front of her was a boy who seemed to be around her age, and from his question, seemed as lost as she was. She felt slightly guilty of not being any help, but to be honest, she was glad that someone was trying to get to the same destination as herself. She wasn’t the type of person to easily get lost, so maybe with some wandering, she’ll find her way.

She chuckled, embarrassment slightly obvious in her tone, and answered the stranger, “Sorry, I’ve gotten lost here myself. I’m trying to get back myself, so maybe you’d like to go together?” She hoped this proposal wasn’t going to come off as strange, as she hadn’t met this man before, but two is always better than one, right?

“I know my way around for the most part, but I haven’t been here before. I wish I could be more help.” An earnest, apologetic laugh escaped her throat before continuing, “I’m Seere Klein, by the way. It’s nice to meet you.”

It wasn’t every night that Rose decided that she needed some fresh air. Well, actually, it was most nights, seeing as how she has horrible insomnia and doesn’t want to bother her partner with her being fidgety as fuck. There’s a lot of problems with her night etiquette as well, since wearing all black was a great way to not be noticed by traffic when crossing the street. Which, she was doing a lot of, because whenever she glanced back she could swear that she saw movement behind her.

Hopefully it wasn’t someone who was planning on killing her, but even if it was that’d serve some kind of purpose. Rose wondered how her auto-resurrect would fare in this place, since apparently people who die just wake up in the hospital here. Rose could duck into a store or something, there were still a few open, but she figured that it’d be easier to just question whoever it was head on.

So, all of a sudden she stopped and promptly did a 180.

“So, why are you following me?”

It wasn’t common for Seere to happen upon people on one of her nighttime walks. To be honest, it made her feel just a little lonely, considering it’s not easy for her to walk out in broad daylight. Despite this, she made sure to appreciate and treasure the times she could.

Walking down the street, she noticed someone from across the street. Seere was surprised she noticed them herself, considering how difficult it was to see through the darkness, even with the luminous shine of the streetlights. Her curious expression shifted into one of concern as she pondered the reason for someone to be out so late. She assumed it wasn’t for anything malicious, but suspicion still pricked at her, and she found herself turning around to follow the stranger.

Using the cover of night, she was sure that she could follow them unnoticed, though she did feel slight guilt in doing this. After all, she was also a nighttime wanderer, so it was a little hypocritical to act this way towards someone who might as well be doing the same thing as Seere herself does.

Pushing away this guilt, Seere still wanted to make sure this person wasn’t up to no good. She followed the stranger for approximately 15 minutes, making sure to stay out of their line of sight. She continued doing this until she realized that she’d been caught.

The moment she was called out, her heart stopped. She looked side to side, but of course, there was nobody else present aside from herself. With a heavy sigh, she stepped up to face the stranger, who she could now see was a (slightly intimidating) girl who seemed to be her age, or perhaps slightly older. She really should’ve thought this through before acting on like this.

“Ah, sorry.. I was just wondering what you were doing out at this time of night. I won’t do this again.”

        The young blond had wandered into a jewelry store, or as he         saw it before entering a place with shiny objects. It wasn’t that         Link never seen such accessories; he does have earrings. He         merely found it quite interesting there was a store for it. After         all, he only ever came across merchants with small amounts         of jewelry. This was an entire store.

        He browsed the various type of objects the store had. They         were far from anything he had expected. In fact he was         thinking it would only carry the common ores. Perhaps even          ones much similar to the cobalt material his earrings were.         The warrior supposes the city would only carry the most top         quality of jewels. 

        Link could remember the times back in Hyrule where people         had to venture into Eldin Caves to gather minerals for different         things. It was a difficult task with the various enemies prowling         about. He had at least done it quite a few times for individuals         waiting better armor; he happily did it though.

        Thus the city having this quality of jewelry was rather nice;         saved people the trouble of looking. A smile touched his lips as         he continued to look about the place. That expression only         slipping when he noted the girl. His brows came close together         at the woman staring at a pair of earrings that looked rather         expensive. Link’s first instinct was that she found them to be         lovely, until she reached for them slowly.

       Was she trying to steal?! The good nature of the Hylian kicked        in causing him to quickly approached the female. He grabbed        her hand in a firm grip; the hero didn’t want to cause a scene        so he did his best not to make them look suspicious. Keeping        his voice low and standing real close to her.

「No. I didn’t want you taking them.」

Taking them? Ah, there seemed to be a misunderstanding, but that didn’t stop Seere from feeling slightly offended. Of course, she wasn’t going to argue over petty things like this. In his defense, she supposed she could see where he was coming from. Probably.

Maybe.

After a moment of hesitation, Seere covered her mouth as she let a soft chuckle escape from her mouth. “I guess I might have looked a little suspicious, forgive me.” She glanced back towards the earrings before fixating her gaze towards the stranger before her. “I promise I wasn’t stealing anything, though it’s noble of you to confront me like that.”

Seere’s face was slightly red from embarrassment, though not easily noticeable. Admittedly, she admired that trait in others–no matter how obnoxious it seemed at times. It was quite honest of him to call her out like that, no matter if it was a mistake or not. She respected that.

Acting out of habit, she introduced herself to the stranger. Though she was unsure if it is the case here, it was only natural to introduce one’s self upon meeting new people from where she was from, regardless of the situation.

“I’m Seere Klein,” she spoke with an apologetic smile, “I hope we don’t end up in a misunderstanding like this again.” She never liked troubling others, and always tried to maintain good terms for the sake of everyone. First impressions can easily be fixed, in which she hoped to get to know this new character better.
