Here’s why the ArcticStartup blog is launching a print magazine for entrepreneurs called CoFounder
In the week that we heard the sad news that Gigaom is shutting down, discovering that a European tech publication is launching a new print magazine might seem crazy. But…
The startup movement is booming and Northern Europe is gaining a lot of traction. Finland is now one of the hottest startup places and let’s not forget the baltic states; Estonia, Lithuania and of course Latvia. The number of startups and startup events taking place here is growing year by year. However, despite the growing popularity of startups in the region, there’s no ecosystem to bring all of them together. This is where Wire.as comes in, our third alumnus, launched in closed beta in cooperation with ArcticStartup.
This is why we fell in love with the idea of Wire.as, as bringing startups together is a goal most noble. And who better to do this than ArcticStartup, who are driven by the idea and already know the playground.
Wire.as is not going to be like any other startup network. It's going to be better! We're going in guns blazing with full intention to uniting the north!
As I mentioned Wire.as is in closed beta but if you want an early look, mention the eegloo name in the pitch when requesting an invite. I’m sure we can get you in. :)
Garage48 is a hackathon aimed at getting an idea into a prototype in 48 hours. I was there as a mentor and sponsor on behalf of ArcticStartup. It was an amazing experience and it was great to see so many talented people under one roof.
We're really pleased to be covered by ArtcicStartup today. Tim really enjoyed talking with Greg Anderson, Editor, and look forward to sharing more news on the Copenhagen Adventure and developments with Cupple. Read the full article in the link above.
Cupple in Copenhagen. We're delighted to have a base in Copenhagen for the summer and look forward to meeting new people and networks involved in the Nordic Start Up Scene. Already very impressed with our first event at Nokia last night for Arctic Start Up Copenhagen. Tommy Ahlers the CEO of Podio was doing a fireside chat about the journey he's been on and things he has learnt. It was a great evening, hopefully one of many to come.
