The Greenpeace Ship “Arctic Sunrise” sends a message of love for the ocean from Clyde Rive in the Canadian Arctic. With the courageous people of Clyde River, we are united against the exploration project approved off Clyde River’s coast, allowing seismic blasting in the region. Seismic blasting is a process to find oil by firing loud sonic explosions through the ocean. It disrupts migration paths of marine animals like narwhals and belugas and sometimes it causes them permanent hearing loss and even death. The Arctic Ocean is one of the many that could benefit from protection through a strong ocean treaty. We love ocean protection, and we’re united to make it happen! #arcticsunrise #oceanprotection #arcticocean #stopseismicblasting #clyderiver (at Clyde River, Nunavut)
