                       ‘  ya’know, i’m kinda liking it.  ‘  ruby confirmed after a moment, her small digits clasped onto her partner’s wrists &. both facing the mirror. weiss was now adorned in ruby’s red hood, &. ( somewhat to ruby’s dismay ), it looked stunning on her. now that weiss had run away from home she probably needed to look less like ... a schnee.  ‘  maybe we should get you one. i’m not ready to part with mine, yet.  ‘  &. like that ruby unpinned the hood so she could secure it back around herself instead.

           ‘  M’ momma used to say only rich people use rapiers. Are you rich ?  ‘  Straight to the point, Kora was. The little maiden was sat on top of a parked car with no owner to be seen, slim legs crossed under her as she stared at the ivory - haired girl in the pretty blue dress. Kora couldn’t help but feel a tinge of jealousy --- she wished she had pretty dresses like that.  ‘  Ya’ look really lost. Need any help finding your way around ? I’ll give ya’ a tour for some lien !  ‘ Kora hopped down from the car and stepped closer to the other with a grin missing several teeth.  ‘  Jus’ kidding. But I CAN help.  ‘

                “ guess who came up with a NEW Plan? I need help with a prank Wiess, and I think you’re the person to help me out with that~! What do you say?” 

       yang couldn’t help but slide next to the female and wrapped her arm around the other’s shoulder for a moment. Keeping close to the other she couldn’t help but smile a little. HOPING she wouldn’t ask who she was planning on pulling a prank -- BUT this was going to be fun.

     ❝ Hello! Hello! ❞

    Birds of almost any kind were rare among this time of year, especially consider just how far north Atlas was located on the global map. Still, this raven was … rather kind. Considering how excited they seemed to be about greeting her. Stepping back from her window for a brief moment, she returned with cookie crumbs and set it on the windowsill before stepping away.

         She might’ve been offended at the crumbs if the feeder didn’t seem so damn sweet.  It was an oddity to find in a wretched place like Atlas.  So this was Ruby’s partner,  and Yang’s teammate.  The white in a sea of color.  Raven blinked at the Schnee before her sharp beak stabbed at the crumbs and ate them without much enthusiasm.  She’d get takeout later.

    Ruby’s words reached deaf ears, her mind adrift in another world as she wondered just what she was going to do – how she would save what little was left of her grandfather’s company. Echoes of her voice drift in and out, before long she finally looked up and settled her gaze on the younger huntress and the other three.  ❝ I.. I don’t have much left on me. ❞ A distant voice replied, one she didn’t even recognize to be her own voice. The thought of having to rob – Weiss knew it was against Ruby’s very nature. Slowly slipping her hand out from under the girl’s, she dug through her pack and pulled out a good handful of lien before passing it over to Ruby.  ❝ I’ll get more.. somehow. ❞

         ‘  this is plenty ... &. i don’t mind taking what else we need. we’ll just pay them back, maybe clear out any grimm stirring up by the town. there’s one about twenty miles further east.  i could get there with my semblance pretty fast, but not as fast as if you were to join me.  ‘  ruby’s silver gaze then lingered on her friend, heart stuttering as she realized she wasn’t the same since time with her father. was it selfish of ruby to drag her along ? did she even want to continue with them ?  ‘  y’know what ... scratch that, i can go alone. i’m sure it’ll be fine.  ‘

         LOOK I HAVE MY FUCKING MAP !!! 

anyway, ruby’s really impartial to familiar smells. she really likes the scent of a fruity perfume her sister sometimes uses, &. the woodsy smell of her house back on patch.  she likes smelling weiss, too – she’ll sit on her &. just smell her hair because it smells bomb, but also because she’s a weirdo tbqh. she’s that friend who has no shame &. always lets you know when you smell good. 

                 —– when she was younger, though, she really liked the smell of roses &. fresh soil.  it was a combination of the two, &. it was a scent ruby familiarized herself by cuddling herself up in her mother’s hood. eventually the hood lost it’s smell when her mother didn’t return, but sometimes ruby swears she catches hints of it.
